Mont Rouge Estate

My friends and I went here over the weekend as part of a winery tasting tour. Safe to say, Mont Rouge was my favourite winery by far! Lachie was so knowledgeable about the wines and explaining how the growing conditions changed the way the wines would taste. He also built great rapport with my group and had the friendly banter as well. Lachie having you to guide us through the wines made my absolute day

Took my husband here for a birthday lunch on the recommendation of my niece and her friends. We absolutely loved it! We were met at the door and taken in for wine tastings then sat down for a really gorgeous meal. The service was excellent! The food was just beautiful. After lunch we went to the chocolate factory, wow! Chocolate and ice cream tastings all made on site. We very highly recommend this gorgeous hidden gem and will be back as soon as we can.

What a glorious spot! My husband and I arrived thinking we'd try a hot chocolate and ended up with a full-scale wine and chocolate tasting which was sublime. I would highly recommend a visit. The dark, cherry chocolate, pinot noir and honey gris were personal favourites!

We were greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. The wine tasting was delicious as was the chocolate tasting.

Beautiful winery! Such kind owners/ staff. The food was wonderful and the wine was very tasty! Very good prices too! Highly recommend a visit!

Both visits to Mont Rouge have been perfect. I love the quiet, low key setting. I believe it is a family run business and all the staff are very accommodating and made our visit memorable. The set menu lunch is delicious and reasonably priced. After lunch we meandered down the path to the Chocolaterie and enjoyed hot chocolates and of course purchased a bag or 2 of some divine handmade chocolates. Highly recommended for small intimate groups.

My family and i enjoyed the $39 pp lunch. The place is such a nice choice for families with children. The wine is good quality and good value of money too. We have gone for bigger estates around Red Hill and this one is a true gem.

It was a hot and windy day at Mont Rouge Estate the day we visited. It was a special treat for my daughter's birthday, we had the tasting plate, a Trio of delicious delights. The food delicious, the wine excellent, the service and staff wonderful. Loved the chocolate factory, came away with wine and chocolates. Highly recommend we will be back, thank you for a wonderful day!

A fantastic afternoon. Brendan our wine tasting host was very friendly and knowledgeable. He took us through the offerings so we could select one for lunch. Lunch was amazing. Nine different courses, small plates and all of them delicious. At an unbelievably fair price. Have been to many many wine tastings and lunches, this was easily in the top three. Do not miss this experience.

Such a beautiful quaint area. It felt intimate with gorgeous views of the winery and bush land. Food was amazing and enough for five people. The share plates are an amazing idea. The chocolate and ice creamery place next door was also amazing and delicious.

Great wine tasting. Also had the opportunity to taste the delicious artisan chocolates and ice cream. We also had the set lunch which was impressive and yummy. We sat on a picnic table and enjoyed our wine (Chardonnay 2018- buttery version) and enjoyed the surroundings.

A bit of a hidden gem with a relaxed atmosphere and no pretensions! Great way to spend a couple of hours over lunch. Started off with wine tasting and selected a bottle to go with our lunch. The set menu was generous and offered a good variety of food. Finished off with a visit to the chocolate and ice cream shop - even though lunch had filled us up nicely, we found a little extra room for the delectable offerings!

What an amazing establishment! We were warmly welcomed and had the loveliest food, wine, and above all, service. It is definitely smaller than other wineries in the area that I’ve visited, but by all means the best. The Summer BBQ option was very reasonably priced and we got flavour-packed varieties of grilled meats, accompanied by three different salads. They also allowed us to have the wine tasting while waiting for food. Remember to browse the chocolaterie downstairs and taste the ice cream (the banana and Ecuadorian chocolate were divine)!

This place is a hidden gem. They do a set BBQ lunch with salads for $28 - the food was excellent. Beats a lot of wineries in this area that have expensive 2 course menus. They also have a separate building chocolaterie at the rear of the property with a unique range. The staff in both areas were all very friendly & helpful. We'll be back for sure.

Highly recommend a visit to Mont Rouge Estate, a family run, boutique winery. We spent the afternoon here and thoroughly enjoyed everything on offer. Expect quality wines, handmade chocolates, cheese platters and amazing ice cream (try the pistachio). We loved the owners too!

Was pleasantly surprised when visiting Mont Rouge Estate. Such a gorgeous place to visit. Such value for money and highly recommended for a family day out. Was such a peaceful, enjoyable experience. Was very hot the day I visited so the ice creamery (with plenty to offer) was a hit to finish off a lovely, enjoyable afternoon in Red Hill. They also offer a gorgeous range of artisan hand-made chocolates in the chocolaterie. Would happily visit again. Well done to the team at Mount Rouge Estate.

Beautiful and quaint Winery.
We had the summer BBQ, amazing food. 3 serves x 3 people was perfect! Looking forward to a picnic option down on the flat! Definitely go back
