momo & chillies reviews
34 PLEASE DO NOT EAT HERE.
The waiter spits on the food! I saw it with my own eyes and I was shocked. The guy/ staff was alarmed when i caught him red handed. To my utter disappointment the staff who takes order at the counter was aware about this deed. He did nothing and calmly walked over to give us seating.
I have eaten food here before and I feel sick in my stomach thinking about the DISGUSTING, UNHYGIENIC & UNETHICAL practices.
You have ruined momos for me.
Had chicken momos yesterday – they were a blast! Almost like the flavors back in India. Got hit with nostalgia after just one bite.
Momo and chilli is one of the best restaurant i visited ever, chef Pradip is very talented and Raj is very down to earth and serve us with smile.
Tried the momos and chowmein here. The momos are a bit of a let down. Chicken was a bit chewy and over cooked and the skin was too doughy.
But the chowmein on the other hand was simply magnificent. Will def be back to try this again.
I seriously don't believe how this restaurant has 4 stars rating.
I usually don't leave a bad review, but after dining in here I felt responsible to add this review.
The atmosphere wasn't very welcoming, staff was like he had to wake up (in the evening) to come to work.
The food was one of the worst I have ever eaten in my life.
We ordered 3 dishes, the cooking can't be bad for all three of it isn't bad.
The chowmins: it was like we were eating raw salt with soy sauce.
The Momo Jhol: the worst of the worst, it was served cold, yellow Jhol (never seen this colour before), it was so sour that one might as well squeeze lime and lemon in their mouth. And the Momo itself was so stale that when we pick it up with spoon the top layer came off of the Momo and the inside was hard as a rock. My best bet is it was all frozen and they just microwaved it, which wasn't done properly either.
The Thukpa: it wasn't good either. Again it was sour. Couldn't eat more than 4 spoons.
We wasted all the food and vomited the one we had eaten after getting home.
The only thing good was can of Coke
Would never visit ever again or recommend to anyone.
Wastedoney, time and the Saturday.
We had variety of momos, fried rice and half rice half noodles dish. Everything was good and a bit too spicy. Had to ask the person to make a fried rice with less spice.
Really awesome place for momo lovers. Even chowmein will be yummy. You will be getting the actual crisp feel. I strongly recommend this restaurant. I have been so many times, and taste always remains consistent. I haven't tried Indian dishes. Soon, I will update my review.
Fried chicken momos is my favourite here. You want to be here fried momos is most. The sauce served with it is yummmmmmmmm. Gobi 65 was also good and nothing special about it.
Serving quantity is good and quality too. You will get eco-friendly spoons and forks on request.
We ordered momos platter, mei goreng and nasi goreng. Momos and mei goreng was amazing, however nasi goreng was very different from the classic taste of nasi goreng. So, anyone ordering nasi goreng can keep in their mind that it wont be a classic taste dish. Overall, great food and ambiance was amazing.
One of the best momos I have ever had in Melbourne. Great flavor, 10/10 for me. I will definitely visit again.
Normally I never order thukpa in any restaurant but i took the risk. And oh yes it was sooo good the soup was really amazing.
As in for momo it looks a bit too much colourful but that’s fine. Overall nice dining experience. Will come back again next time
Order chicken biryani but got fried rice instead without informing us. When called the restaurant we experience worst respond. The person didn’t even feel sorry. Since the price of biryani was more than fried rice they charge us extra and didn’t even refund remaining amount.
Tried this place few weeks back, ordered gobi manchurian n it was so tasty. Perfectly cooked.must try this place I you're looking for a authentic indochinese taste. Tried it, love it.
Very yummy food, neat and clean. Nice seating.very good customer service. Gonna go back again. Very satisfied
We had Lamb choila khaja set and Jhol buff momo. So good especially the choila.liked the pleasant environment and friendly staff. Highly recommended to try Nepalese cuisine in the western suburb of Melbourne.
The momos were fantastic! I love the chilli momos the most as the flavour was amazing, the waiting maybe a while but it’s worth it if you come only a little bit hungry, then after waiting you get the food when your hungry. Other than that this place is amazing
Great food, loved the Momo's and noodles. Butter chicken was below average. There's ample parking around and usually not too busy.
Tried their Momos platter, which had 4 steamed momos, 4 chilli momos and 4 fried momos, felt like the stuffing wasn't great. But really liked their Chicken Chowmein & Chicken Thukpa.
Very good food. I think the owner was serving himself so the service was awesome. Tried Tupka. Noodles soup and it was amazing. They have good wines that was a plus.
Always walked pass this place, I was going to try first time ordering by uber. Restaurants accepted then cancelled my order because it was close to their closing time. If you don't want to serve until last minute, change your hours on uber so this won't happen.
I won't try here again.
Great taste and great service. We catered for a large event and the serving size was good. Speak to Manish he is the boss!
