62Mixed sashimi was so fresh and delicious, it even glistened in the sun. Otherwise went for the pork katsu bento, chicken karaage and chicken teriyaki bento. I don't know what they did to it but the potato mash was amazing which is weird given that it was possibly the only non Japanese thing in the bento. Anyway the wagyu beef bento was unavailable, will go for it next time and you should too.
Firstly amazing staff, always friendly and eager to please, perfect place to grab lunch. I love their sashimi or their bento.
Pre-ordered a sushi platter and it was really well made. Fresh ingredients and very tasty. Worth the price paid too. Highly recommend!
Love their Mochi! They have matcha new flavour and was delicious. Creamy but not too sweet. Strawberry flavour is all time favourite!
I had takeaway from here a while ago but I was disappointed by the food and it did not justify the price.not that expensive but I usually expect better for that much. There are better Japanese options out there.
The menu here is simple, but food is. I love their udon, the texture is and the soup is light. Their mochis are well loved by my children, especially the strawberry ones.
Customer service was great, and it is a authentic Japanese restaurant with Japanese chief/staff. The price is acceptable, although the food wasn't great, it wasn't bad either. Overall it was a pleasant experience.
We love our local Japanese shop and regularly eat here. Authentic food. Accommodating to our entrees in the bento (you can request vegetarian entree instead of something like chicken they usually serve). We only have ordered bentos so can only attest to this. Comes with miso soup, potato croquettes, entree salads, whatever main, and rice. All delicious.
This is one of my favourite Japanese restaurants. The staff are so welcoming and so kind. The sashimi here is very fresh, I often come here for that. Today I tried the tempura udon noodles. Perfect for a cold winter day, the tempura was so light and crispy, it’s one of my favourites! The chicken katsu is also very delicious, great flavours in the curry. Will be back to try the other items on the menu! A small restaurant that feels like home. Thank you!
Great little local gem! Really fresh and generous slices of sashimi and tasty desserts as well. Authentic Japanese!
Love the food there and the friendly service.
Exceptionally good for a quick bite to eat.
It's ok. Website is deceiving. I thought it was going to be a nice restaurant but was an ordinary take away joint
Quaint little local Japanese place run by Japanese staff so feels super authentic, atmosphere is casual and the menu has a large selection of typical Japanese dishes. Sashimi quality was great as well. The dessert was amazing, especially the daifuku with strawberry inside which is also made by the chef. Will return for sure!
Great Japanese food.
They are super busy and understaffed, so sometimes you have to wait a bit.
Good Japanese restaurant with good selection of regular Japanese staples plus a changing Specials board with a few interesting items to try. Not a huge place and basic furnishing but the food makes up for this.
We tried some sushi roll
The teriyaki chicken sushi is ok
Crispy chicken roll is nice
Tuna sushi is ok
prawn cocktail sushi is nice
2.80 aud for each sushi roll
Good that the chef do sushi in 2 ways: white rice, which tastes better, as well as brown rice which is much healthier for high blood sugar people haha
Will recommend highly
Good take away sushi
We ate some sushi takeaway today
Teri ch and crispy ch sushi
Tuna sushi
Prawn cocktail sushi
All taste fresh and nice
Good idea that they use two ways to Wrap sushis
One is with white rice
The other is with brown rice
Will come back again
Love sushi
Ordered Sashimi Salmon, Chicken Katsu Curry don, Pork Tonkatsu don, Unagi don and some sushi rolls for the kids.
Wasn't impressed. Food tasted bland. The curry sauce wasn't pleasant, didn't even want to dip the chicken or pork into it like you usually cant get enough. On that point there was only a smearing of curry too, not enough to make the rice wet.
The sashimi was okay but they didn't even cut out all the grey meat from the fish. I'm okay with that cause I know it has more flavour, but it looked unappetising.
As for the dish I craved for the most (unagi don aka eel rice bowl), the portion was generous and that would ordinarily be great, however it was tough (not cooked long enough), still had the eel's tail on the cut of fish too, and AGAIN not enough sauce.
This was a first time takeaway for me and the family and it will be the last.
One of our fav locals. Was introduced to this gem of a place by a friend and fell in love. Great work team Mogu
