Consistently good local favourite of ours. 3 of us had a sushi bento set, salmon terriyaki bento set and a tempura udon for dinner. All great, generous and fresh and loved the casual no fuss service.

The food tastes better than the place look, we tried the hot food and the sushi bowl. The food taste great.

The kitchen hygiene looks a little scary, not often seeing a Japanese kitchen this messy and dirty with knifes magnet to the wall and the wall looks very dirty and greasy due to the frying food in the open kitchen.

Best sushi! All the sushi has brown rice options. All they are missing is spicy cooked tuna. Otherwise perfect! Parking is very easy too

Excellent food, authentic and well made, one of my favourite Japanese places. Remember to thank the Japanese chef on your way out with "Gochisousama! "

Small Japanese Cafe which serves sashimi, sushi, upon, ramen and Bento box meals. The food here is nice and the shashimi Bento box is a little more expensive than a karage chicken Bento box.

Very fresh fish. Good food. Good portions too. Prices are reasonable in view of the freshness of the food. Highly recommended.

Went with a couple friends for lunch, im not big on japanese compared to other asian cuisines but the experience and food was pleasant nonetheless.my friend said their tempura prawns was the best tempura theyve had.thumbs up all round on our mains.tofu entree average.everyone pleased with gyoza dumplings which were great aswell.desserts super cute and yummy i recommend the strawberry cheesecake.we will be coming back a second time to explore more of the menu.overall authentic beautiful Japanese food with decent service despite the place being a bit small and squishy.

Was a cute little Japanese place to go. Food is good and price is reasonable. But can the chef please not give random 'off-cuts' of salmon sashimi for bento box customers? Had the bento box a few times and the salmon cuts are below standard.

We had lunch at this nice little eatery. We were quite happy with everything we tried. The sashimi was fresh; grilled eggplant had just enough and the right flavours; pork katsu curry was delicious. We especially enjoyed the strawberry mochi. It was so soft and thinly wrapped around a very sweet strawberry. The black sesame cheesecake was nice too. My only criticism is that the serving sizes are very small and after spending quite a bit, we were still not completely satisfied.

I had a few entrees because i couldn’t decide on a single meal and i don’t regret dinning here at all.the workers at mogumogu are very friendly so despite eating alone, it didn’t feel awkward.as for the food, i had a small sashimi salmon only.they are generous with the thickness, and there was no fishy tasty.furthermore the nasu dengaku was really yummy.if you like miso flavour, i highly suggest it.i also had the pumpkin croquette! It was so crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.overall, it’s a great place to have an authentic japanese meal whether with friends, family or by yourself!

Incredibly authentic and friendly local Japanese restaurant! The highlight for us was definitely their daikufu dessert!

Lovely, high quality Japanese home style food. Salmon sashimi was delicious and very fresh. All the entrees were delicious and tempura udon was great. It’s a tiny, cosy space. Nothing fancy, probably more geared towards take away. Enjoyed our meal there though. Would go back again.

Ordered a platter a few hours before I wanted it and they kindly accepted my order. It was very fresh and well prepared with great price. Will definitely order again.

Sushi is one of the best! Great value (of course we don't come here for the ambience - it's like a little simple neighbourhood takeaway joint, although they have limited seating).

Authentic Japanese food. They have been here for a while. Just drop by for lunch and check out the quality. Old shop but food is good.

Best quality in their food, fresh and tasty. I like their mochi very much, delicious and fresh. Even you take away, the food still good.

Unpretentious, authentic Japanese food. Have tried most of the menu and have never been disappointed. Never leave without getting a strawberry mochi!

Literally one of my favourite japanese restaurants in melbourne. Eating food here takes me to japan. The staff are so lovely and their food brings so much warmth! Highly recommend this place for lunch if you are around the area!

Great udon noodles, katsu curry and teriyaki salmon don! If you’re after a bit of true japanese desserts try their matcha daifuku

Customer service was great, and it is a authentic Japanese restaurant with Japanese chief/staff. The price is acceptable and the food wasn't bad either. Overall it a pleasant experience.
