Mister Minh reviews
66Fantastic service and the food was delicious. Super attentive service; from being seated to the delivery of meals and wine glasses, super fast. The food was also fantastic, highly recommend the prawn dumplings. We will definitely be back.
Excellent coffee, friendly staff and the staff were following Universal precautions due to the Victorian COVID protocols and the service areas and tables were kept spotlessly clean during my visit well done, the food looked very good and well worth another longer visit
We tried their duck salad and prawn green papaya salad. They were really good except for a tiny bit too much sugar/honey. If that was reduced its be the perfect healthy and tasty salad. The prawn oyster dumplings are amazing. Their wings with the sexy sauce is true to name. They also have vegan and gluten-free options.
The setting and decor is lovely. They have a few booths which allow for privacy. The staff are extremely friendly.
Very good looking place, modern, inviting and clean. Nice environment and music. The service was quick. Food was just ok though and lacks a bit of flavour, pork belly in particular wasn't really tasty as expected.
Used to be one of my favourites on Bridge Road but on a recent visit the service was utterly appalling. People around us were waiting for over 30 min to order, our first dishes arrived but the rest never came and after about an hour we just had to leave. The worse part is that apart for the lady behind the bar who was very apologetic, when we let the apparent manager know that our experience had been bad and that those around us had been completely ignored he didn’t even care and just walked off. I know it’s a busy night but the restaurant was far from capacity and I’ve honestly never had service this bad in my whole life!
Our host Minh was a gastronomical genius food glorious food the eggplant in prawn sublime. If you don't know what to order let Minh do you a favour and just try a bit of everything. Regards Paul, Annie, Jim, and the girls 10 star's if I could Paul Theodore
3.8 out of 5. We enjoyed it here. Modern Vietnamese we’d call it. The space is cavernous and nicely decked out in contemporary style. It’s a nice setting. Only the throwaway background pop music grated a bit. Service was great tonight. Prompt, polite and friendly. All dishes came out very quickly. All dishes were good too, particularly the pearl balls and the vegetarian dumplings. I was also liking the salt and pepper tofu and the eggplant with prawn meat. It’s a good place and it’s clearly doing well. Recommended.
The place is beautiful. I had vegetarian dumplings as entree and they were delicious. My main was fried rice with vegetables: huge portion but average taste. The dessert was a fried banana with ice cream, quite filling.
Absolutely delicious. The food was amazing and the staff were really friendly and helpful. For me the barramundi was outstanding. Thank you.
It is the most frustrating experience ordering takeaway from Mister Minh. I've tried several different ways; Uber Eats pickup, Ordermate, calling directly, and every single time I'll go to the wrong place to pickup. There is absolutely no consistency. One time my partner went to pickup, got directed to the takeway place, was then told they didn't have the order, got sent back to the restaurant, who then double charged him due to the confusion. It's enough to put me off ordering there, the only thing is the prawn dumplings are too good to give up. That's why I give 3 stars, if this was process was fixed it'd be 5 for the food.
Fix your takeaway system desperately, PLEASE!
I thought this place is Vietnamese restaurant but the menu is more like mixture of Asian food style. I tried laksa noodle soup and it was ok. I'm good with spicy food but even for me it was too spicy. My partner tried Pho and he said it was good.
The owner / manager started verbally abusing me after assuming I was a UberEats delivery partner. Absolutely appalling behaviour.
Accessible bathroom FAIL. Last time I was here I took a photo and showed the manager. Have returned after a few months and still can’t get my wheelchair inside. It’s great you have an accessible bathroom but what’s the point if it can’t be used.
This place is amazing. Food was so good and really tasty. Ending up getting Pho and some pork belly both were some of the best food I have had. Pricing is pretty good as well seems really fair. The staff were all so lovely. I saw some reviews complaining about the staff and service but after eating here I can’t see anything wrong. Everyone was very friendly and food came out pretty quick. Would highly recommend this place!
Helpful and fast service. Expensive to get a battery operated car key repaired though although has 1 year warranty apparently
Stumbled upon this amazing modern Vietnamese restaurant on a late night trip from the airport.
We just had the beef pho as it was a cold night and, if they can’t get their pho right, then they can’t get anything else right says my partner. Indeed she was right, and this pho was one of the best I’ve had, comparable and perhaps better than Springvale, generously portioned meat. The soup was spot on, and gut and heart warming. The menu showcased a tantalizing spread of dishes, which I will be back for an in depth experience. Thank you Mr Minh!
Had lunch here with an eat club voucher. Ordered the crispy chilli beef with rice. Overall it was a good dish with a nice amount of spice and a generous portion. Only negative would be that the temperature of the stir fry was a little like warm. Good service and nice fitout.
Impressive looking and sounding menu but food ended up being pretty average and not a lot of flavour in what sounded like it would be amazing. Prices were pretty good, but there are plenty of other really good Vietnamese restaurants in this area.
The food here is pretty good. We’ve been here 4 or 5 times. The last time we were here there was a Latino waiter who was awesome. Made conversation but not too much and had great drink suggestions. The first few times we went there and again the last time we were there the staff was a little sub par and perhaps need a little more training. Apart from taking our food order they were nowhere to be seen. Didn’t ask to get us another drink (which the restaurant owner should drum this into every waiter to make an up sell to the customer and turnover more money) or if we needed any other food/condiments. When we were done it took a while to get their attention to ask for the bill. But having said that the staff was extremely polite and the food was great! Just needs a little more care and this place could be a little gem on Bridge Rd.
Had a quiet and peaceful lunch eating the soft caramelised pork and the "pearls". Will definitely return as they served very fresh tasty food and my favourite vegetable pickle on the side was a perfect accompaniment to the dish. Excellent service and value for money.
