Miss Amelie

Beautiful food & service. Lovely atmosphere. The reason I didn't put 5 stars is we are out of towners and we could not find the restaurant.tried to phone restaurant several times for help, but only got answer phone. Asked a local, but they didn't know either. Very frustrating start to our evening.but alas it got better once we did locate it.

Excellent cuisine, excellent wine list, service adequate. For a first class restaurant, staff need a bit of sprucing up.

We had a dinner for two at Miss Amelie. Professional and friendly staff. The complimentsry piece of bread (HALF a slice of sourdough bread) felt a bit stingy. Either give a whole slice or a small bread roll. Starters, mains and dessert were excellent and a good portion size.
Miss Amerlie is in an old station building converted into a restaurant. We felt a bit more can be done to improve the acoustics and overall ambiance.
But overall definitely a good experience!

I made this stop during my trip from Sydney to Bendigo and it was worth every effort. This place was an amazing experience for me and I highly recommended it. You just need to make sure you book early to ensure you can enjoy their meals. I had a six-course meal and each course beat the one prior to it. The service was very professional and they made a special drink for me when I asked for a non-alcoholic drink. They even went out of their way to make the drink taste the way I wanted it to. One thing that really impressed me was when Jess, the Chef de Partie, came out to explain the dish's elements to me.
I was also struck by the humility and openness of the owner and head chef David Kapay. I noticed how warm and welcoming he was to the guests and I was pleased to see how he oversaw all the different parts of the restaurant - no job seemed too small or insignificant for him, at one point I even observed him helping to roll serviettes - I admire this in his leadership.
For me, the beef tartare was the best starter out of the two that I tried, particularly the top layer with the wakamé. The lamb scotch was the signature dish and perfectly cooked especially the rhubarb. Definitely will be worth trying for functions and large gathering.

Me and my family LOVE Miss Amelie! Very fancy and great atmosphere! Friendly service even when i asked for a drink to be made off menu. The smaller menu is good because every dish comes out in surprisingly perfect proportions.:) Will be going back again soon.

Miss Amelie is one of, if not the best dining experiences in Albury-Wodonga.

We did the 6-course degustation which was a fantastic selection of smaller plates from their seasonal menu.

You get what you pay for and the meal was exceptional. We also enjoyed some great wine, cocktails and beer.

Highly recommend for a special night out if in the area.

Always a pleasure to visit Miss Amelie. Service is excellent. Fantastic menu with just the right number to choose from so its not complicated. Lovely to know they have a vegan menu too so everyone is catered for.

Excellent night! The staff were extremely professional and helpful, ensuring we had the optimum experience! The food was absolutely delicious! From the refreshing Miss Amelie cocktail; the melt in my mouth eye fillet ; the amazing lemon sorbet.all matched perfectly with exquisite wine, it was truly a gastronomical delight! Thank you Miss Amelie, and thank you to my friends who gave me a gift voucher enticing me through the doors in the first place!

Fantastic flavour profiles and cocktails were amazing. Entrees stood out although mains and desserts were also very good.

This was my third time to this beautiful restaurant but unfortunately it was nothing like my first two visits.
The drinks menu was given to us on arrival and we ordered a bottle of wine only to find that there was a wine option with the three course dinner option.
When we were given the dinner menu, I couldn't believe how dirty it was which was quite perplexing as there is no food that is anywhere near it.
The thing that I found quite odd with our dinner was that the waitress would pour maybe a mouthful of wine (if we were lucky) that accompanied our dinner but my wife and I had wait a considerable amount of time for the food to come out, at least 15 minutes for each meal.
At no stage during dinner were we asked if we would like a drink and we had to get a waitresses attention to do so. We asked for a wine that came with our main course and the difference between what was initially poured to the glass we requested was significantly larger.
Unfortunately at no stage were we checked on to see how we found our dinner or if we required refills on beverages.
I would have to think hard if I was asked to come back I'm afraid as the experience did not match the price.

We love scheduling a Friday lunch here as the food always impresses with well chosen flavours and attention to detail. The seared scallops on pork belly was a delicious entree, followed by an excellent grilled John Dory with calamari salad. We’re looking forward to returning.

Thanks Miss Amelie for a wonderful dinner. Food wine and service were perfect. Looking forward to our next visit.

We LOVE Miss Amelie! We have been twice now and plan to come back whenever we are in town. A great venue with amazing food and wine. Chef and owner David Kapay has done a fantastic job and it's great to see such high quality without the stuffiness in the local area.

As always, one of the best restaurants we have ever been to. Fantastic food and exemplary service.

Have just spent a wonderful night at Miss Amelie. My wonderful guy took me out for dinner and I enjoyed every mouthful. Thank you to everyone at this lovely establishment.

We had a warm welcome with delicious food and amazing, attentive service.

This awesome restaurant in Wodonga is a must place to have dinner or to sit back and unwind. Service was friendly and helpful. The food is amazing. I will be returning when I am in Albury next.

The food was outstanding. The lemon souffle amazing and the lamb was superb. This is 5 star dining!

The service was personable and very time efficient. The food was remarkable and we will definitely be returning.
