MIPUNG Korean BBQ Buffet Restaurant reviews
41 My family loves eating. We explore restaurants with food that everyone agrees with for excellent food quality and customer service. Mipung Korean BBQ Buffet is one of these restaurants that we could return to anytime.
They have quality bbq meats, and the japchae is one of the best that we have tasted in many Korean restaurants we have been to.
Sad that they don’t take booking for one person. I asked if I can walk-in by one person and got declined, saying the table is designed for two at least. Lonely person has no rights to consume food at this place.
Great good, very full.
Just beware of normal human nature. At the start, every man and dog lines up and the meats are gone. Be patient, let the impatient fill their plates sky high and go after the rush. You'll get fresher meat, less waiting and a better experience.
Honestly, they should stagger the times at the Start a bit. Humans suck.
Very good food for reasonable price. Lots of side dishes and varieties. Will definitely come again
This was gross. Dined here around April 2021. You have to line up outside and there is a mad dash to get in, and before you can even get in other people have destroyed the buffet. The food itself was not good, cold even when it came out and there is so much mixing of the tongs to serve the food. When I finally managed to get out of my seat (which was a challenge because there was some kind of power box on the floor behind me) and we were back to back with the table behind us, and finally went to look at the food I was disgusted. There was no staff near the buffet (COVID?) and the tongs were CAKED with food from each different tray.
Make a reservation before coming over and find out the time slots that are available! The food mainly consists of meat but the various cuts and marinades are so good! Fun place to go to with a chance to explore different korean side dishes.
Definitely worth the cost. Only downside, you only have roughly 2 hours of window time to eat. And if you're going to a buffet for seafood, this isn't the place for you.
Good selection of meat to eat but make sure you book in advance as place tends to get super busy, worth the wait though.
I enjoyed the food there but unfortunately, I have to give 2 stars due to the work safety, hygiene and service is not to a certain standard. I was there last night for pre lockdown dinner with my family.the floor was full of grease and I nearly slipped few times (the floor was already greasy before everyone went inside). As I was waiting to be let in, half of the staff were standing around not doing anything for 15 minutes or so (which they could do some mopping) and one of them (young guy) was eating a watermelon straight from the buffet.not very hygienic especially that we are still going through pandemic.he even ignored me and few others who were asking for his service.a couple of other staff didn't know much about some of the food there when I asked them about it (what sauce is this in the bottle? Does this salad have dressing? Etc). There were signs everywhere that the customers must wear mask and gloves which I love but half of the customers were not following the rules and I watched the staff just stared and didn't say anything.the lady who was at the register she looked so stressed, I felt sorry for her.the staff there needs proper training. I dont think I can go there again and if I do.it'll be many many many months later and I hope the staff there will be organise, proper and well trained by then so the lady at the register can be calm. I think she is a very nice lady.
Enjoyed our experience here - quality meats and a good variety of food. Atmosphere is nice and inviting. Customer service is also moderately attentive and takes care of your table. If they had more than one dessert (zooper doopers? !) on offer (even if you had to pay extra), that would make this place better - for instance bingsu! However with the 2 hour seating limit, this would probably be a struggle anyway as you'll most likely be trying to still eat what's left on your plates.
Beef was spot on, I didn't try other meat, and other dishes were just ok. I'll go once I am craving for beef, can't go wrong with it.
I really enjoyed this all you can eat Korean bbq! Nothing like this in the western suburbs. Staff are friendly and will change your grill so you will always clean. Heaps of food variety, snacks and desserts! Nice layout and it was busy so def make a booking before hand!
Good taste meat. Recommond pork belly. Will be good if having more seafood, such as scolop and oyster.
Great selection of good quality meat. Very fresh and friendly custom service even they are always busy. Will go back again after the lockdown
After my second visit, Seem change of the owner, the taste and the quality becomes lower than before. Sosad.
Great value for money. They have a variety of meats to select from in addition to side dishes. Highly recommended.
One of the best Korean BBQ restaurants I have been to so far!
All of the meat was super yummy and fresh, and they have a great variety. The only down side is, it can be hard to book online, due to it being so popular. Highly recommend and worth the wait though!
Also, their prices are really decent.around $30 all you can eat!
Great selection of good quality food, very friendly customer service, probably the best Korean BBQ restaurant in Melbourne!
If there is 0 start, I definitely will put it on. Really bad service, if someone going to come here for a big group, give them more money, i highly recommended you guy think twice before put down your booking.they have a website booking for fun only.:)
Very diverse Korean BBQ buffet ranging from tasty varieties of beef, pork, chicken and even prawns.
Alongside a selection of dumplings, Kimchi, delicious pizza and more.
Topped off with brownies and Zooper Doopers for dessert.
All included in the buffet cost of $38.50 per person, for a 2 hour session.
MIPUNG is highly recommended for a good reason!
Great food and friendly service, couldnt have asked for more, Highely recomend to anyone wanting to eat Korean BBQ.
