Mildura Visitor Information and Booking Centre reviews
46Great centre. Loved the local food products & purchased them. Very disappointed that I then found the products have been marked up so much compared to other shop fronts ie fruit paste $7.95 compared to $5 and jam $9.80 compared to $7. We purchased more elsewhere. Please support you local producers!
Best visitor information centre I have been to. Lauren was super helpful. She found last minute accommodation for us, booked us on a tour, and gave us a lot of helpful information.
Amazing service from Lauren. She sorted out bookings for accomodation and activities and nothing was too much trouble.
The staff were super friendly and informative. Full of knowledge on the area and all the best things to do. You should visit as soon as you get into town.
Alas coffee shop now closed - otherwise visitor center is a good spot for local info and public toilets. Convenient caravan parking nearby.
Today attended a seminar in the benetook room. The visitors centre has a new look with amazing local products but unfortunately the old staff are no longer there. The new younger staff are very defensive about an issue with no enthusiasm to assist further or take a constructive comments about a booking. Hope this environment provides when I visit next.
Great place but very quiet during Covid. Library was open and found new authors. Saves purchasing books that litter the house once read.
This place is stunning, very friendly staff, wonderful products that are made locally and great touring information
Good displays and information, access to a cafe and restrooms, conveniently located in the local community pool. Great parking even for large caravans.
Great little center, kids loved the water garder out the front, haha. Lots of locally made items for sale.
Beautifully presented, local produce available. Cafe. Very helpful staff openly offering recommendations for the day. Swim centre attached.
Front desk didn't seem that interested in helping out visitors to the city with only limited info volunteered on places to see and things to do.
A must visit if you want to know what's happening in Mildura and places to visit and things to do.
Just after breakfast on our first day of touring, we always visit the Mildura Information Centre.
We have been to this terrific centre many times over the years and it always delivers.
The friendly staff go above and beyond to provide any information that you might be looking for. For example, I asked about the history of the world's longest bar (formerly at the Working Man's Club) and they found some information and photocopied it for me.
The displays here are well organised and spaced out so that you can walk around and appreciate Mildura and the surrounding regions focussing on key themes in a logical order.
There are lots of brochures about attractions, food and accommodation in Mildura and beyond. There are even brochures about other parts of Victoria and other states in Australia.
It's also a terrific place to buy postcards and other souvenirs.
If you are a new resident in the region, there's also loads of relevant information.
There's a cafe next to the centre if you want to stay a bit longer and grab a bite to eat.
In short, this place has everything!
We always enjoy stopping here and staying up-to-date with the latest information. Keep up the great work)
This information centre has an open, modern atmosphere and is quite nice inside, alongside a great range of pamphlets and other documentation regarding tourist activities to be undertaken around Mildura. HOWEVER - when we went there seeking information regarding river cruise availability for that day, we were met with a rude response saying that they were ‘all booked out for the day’. The lady who served us didn’t check her computer, make any calls, or anything like that. Upon ringing the cruise operators ourselves and having sat on the river banks watching minimally seated river ships sail past, we realised this was not the case and enjoyed a lovely cruise that evening. My advice would be, do not trust all the information provided by the staff and always phone operators directly to check availability.
An immersive experience, they have an extensive range of brochures and pamphlets on areas as far away as Kangaroo Island. Very interesting to learn about the history of the founding of Mildura by the Chaffey brothers.
Lovely displays. One pleasant staff member, other not so. Felt like I was intruding or was a hindrance with the first person I spoke to.
Absolutely amazing the staff are very friendly and helpful and the displays inside and the information is great.
Special shout out to Gayle who went above and beyond to help me with a day tour booking. The visitor information Centre itself has a lot of resources on Mildura, the surrounding areas as well as Victoria and Australia
Unhelpful, rude and didn't even make an effort.
Gave us the attitude you'd expect from someone who dislikes out of towners which isn't ideal for a visitor centre.
Spoke with a young girl and I wish I could remember her name. She was very knowledgeable and super helpful
