Customer service and food

The ladies were lovely and they served us patiently even though, they had to squeeze us in between bookings (we were desperate and it was a busy saturday). The price is reasonable and i’d definitely go there again someday! Nice, quiet and spacious.

Delicious cozy korean bbq. Super well priced. Really cool vibe.
A bit cold in winter though.

Will not go again! The food is in standard but the environment is bad!
The floor, the table and the chair are so sticky,
Hot day with no air conditioner on,
The fan/ smoke system is so weak

The inside is clean, tidy and the meat is very well served and cooked. We had an amazing experience! I strongly recommend this resturant.

We are regulars ever since discovering this place. Always delicious and authentic. I miss the lunch terribly.

Is a small place in Blackburn. Initially the service was unorganised but in the end they got there so it was good. Maybe we are used to previous Korean Bbq restaurants where they serve us at least 6 small condiments including kim chi but here after waiting a lil they only have 3. It was ok but not much variety. We ordered the $100 set for 3 people. The meat served had a little bit of fat on them.compared with other places we had eaten its a bit expensive in what we had ordered.

Michu Korean Charcoal BBQ has decent food. However, their menu portions are quite small compared to their prices. Customer service was also tepid.

When I go to a Korean restaurant anywhere, I expect a lot of side dishes, as a matter of fact I know most places serve five to nine side dishes. Banchan or side dishes are the heart and soul of Korean dining. You have to have lots of 'banchan' to compliment the main meals. I remember getting three side dishes. But because the customer service was lukewarm, I was hesitant in asking if they can provide more. It was also strange that at the time when I asked for lettuce, the server said they don't have them.

Beware of hidden minimal charges. Practically "invited" out of the restaurant. Intimidated. Humiliated. Not one to overly dramatize but full story below.

Arrived without a booking on a weekday evening. There were a few unoccupied tables. Went in and even asked the waitress again if I may dine in without booking. She happily lead me to a table without a second thought. Sat down, asked for a menu. Knew what I wanted so placed an order quickly. Again the waitress was happy to take my order. Suddenly out of nowhere while I was waiting for my food the manager (?) approached and said intimidatingly I can't dine there. I asked why and he said I have to order a bbq set (which is massive for one person). There wasn't any signs mentioning such nor did the waitress and waiter told me so before or after my ordering. Before anyone reading thinking that I was ordering something tiny and occupying a table: I had originally ordered a stew for one person and dumplings set ($14+$2+$12), and remember 1/3rd of the tables empty. Either way I asked the manager "are you kicking me out? " to which he replied "yes you can't eat here" unless I pay more for an entire bbq which is meant for multiple people. By this point I did not argue at all and left quietly feeling quite humiliated, hungry and in the cold. Never have I ever in my entire life have I been kicked out of a restaurant. Oh well at least now I've got a story to tell.

Serving size was was small for what it’s worth. Beef and chicken meat quality is not good (fatty).

Table top was sticky.

But service was responsive.

Very enjoyable. My first korean bbq so a bit hard to compare. I will go back so that says a lot
