Michaels Golden Hen

My partner and I ordered $50 worth of food and the chicken schnitzel burger we got was missing half of the schnitzel all because one of the MORE EXPERIENCED workers made a mistake on someone else's meal and instead of fixing it properly the first time they took half of my partner's schnitzel from his burger and put it in the other person's meal then made and the extra schnitzel for that person anyway, plus getting the other things they didn't order but was mistakenly put into their meal and my partner had half a burger. I don't order take away to have to cook anyways. You've just lost 3 customers

I got served tonight by the rudest lady I have met in hospitality. I left feeling upset and angry. Tried to order- but she cut me off then proceeded to make what she thought she heard. After I told her that's not what I ordered, she yelled at me in front of everyone (other customers and staff) and I was left feeling completely humiliated, she told me that THATS exactly what I had ordered when it was not. I remained polite but she continued to be rude. I work in hospitality and would never speak to a customer like that. Also asked for no apple sauce 2 times, got home and there was apple sauce.

Lovely lunch. Had pork, scalloped potatoes & gravy. Pork was lovely, spuds were ok but I'd rather a creamy sauce than just cheese through them. Just personal preference is all. Otherwise was quite enjoyed.

Reasonable food. Chips aren't the best but roast meals are pretty good. Staff never seem very enthusiastic though.

Delicious, delicious food what more can I say.just what we needed after a long and exhausting camp full of instant noodles.luckily for us was open on labour day!

Great food but the simplist food (chips) were average, bit of a shame as the rest of the food was spot on.

Large variety of meals, fish and chips, etc. My favourites are the chicken meats with potatoes and vegies and gravy. Just like a Sunday roast!

What a great place to buy a lunch. I can only really comment on how good the roast pork rolls are and the potato dish is. The rolls are great value. Well cooked pork that is moist. The staff are happy to put a bit of apple sauce and gravy on it as well as placing a bit of crackling, which is always crunchy. My wife and I have been there several times and never have been disappointed. Thanks guys and keep making those great rolls. The other meals look good too, will have to try something else soon

Greated by nice staff, i was amazed how quickly my fish and chips were cooked, it was a real good service, a great little waiting area inside, plenty of parking out the front. The Menu had plenty to choose from.
Thee flake was cooked to perfection, with dim Sims, chips and nuggets with what I had ordered. Michaels golden Hen is located in the heart of Moe amd i look forward to going back and trying out more of there food and what they have do offer

Best food available in Moe, quite consistent, not always 100% but hey. The star is definitely the pork roast although more crackle wouldn't go astray.

The food is tasty and the price is fair, but I've had some negative experiences recently. One time, I ordered a Small Roast Pork with everything and gravy on the side, but I assumed that everything would mean apple sauce was included too, but I never got any apple sauce. The gravy on the side was full to the brim of the container so I could barely open it without spilling gravy everywhere. Another time, I ordered a small roast pork but was charged for a small roast lamb, which is $3 more. I asked for a refund, but was never given any. I also once got hot chips and asked for chicken salt, but there was no salt at all. Overall, Golden Hen is pretty good, but it seems to be going down a bit recently from my experiences. I'm starting to go there less because of it, unfortunately.

Food is good but the staff are less than enthusiastic and unhelpful, and the manager was just plain rude to people, everything was a Hassle. WILL NOT BE BACK

Grumpy Manager & Manageress and consequently unenthusiastic moody staff. I usually try to avoid go to this business but they are the only store with takeaway roast meals in Moe that I know of. That is their only redeeming feature in my eyes and that's all I ever order. There definately other better fish & chip stores in town.
