Mexican Republic reviews
54The pineapple quesadilla was ON POINT! We also had a chicken burrito and it was so soo tasty. I dont normally like quinoa but I actually really liked it in this burrito! Very cosy and relaxed restuarant too. Thank you!:)
SO DELICIOUS! What more can I say? ! We had burritos and they were close to the best we've had. We loved that they have modernised with a menu app - it makes it so easy and fast to order.
Overpriced for street food- use a QR menu to order from and still messed it up
Bathroom facilities are substandard and don’t meet regulations
Outdoor dining is an accident waiting to happen and also doesn’t be regulations
Not family friendly
Save yourself the headache and get fish and Chips instead
Went with family and got a shock with the prices for a Mexican restaurant and ended up leaving because there was not much options but great for vegans.
Wonderful FOOD, STAFF. BEST MEXICAN EVER!
Was there with Family n Friends after our wedding the day before.
They went above and beyond to get my purse back that i left. Even Found my new husband on Facebook because the waitress recalled we were going the next day. WOW
SO kind AND CARING THANKYOU so so much xxx
The burrito servings were a good size and filling. You can have them with the tortilla or as a naked bowl. They were delicious and so fresh. It was very busy but the staff were very quick, helpful and friendly.
Taco Tuesday this is the place to be. I can confirm each and every taco is delicious and the margaritas are on point. Highly recommended!
Was amazing food and service! The bloke from Argentina is an absolute legend! More advertisement and or something to let people know you are there. We just happened to stumble across it and have no regrets!
This is a real mexican restaurant. By that I mean that the food is exactly on point. It makes places like Fonda look real bad and probably two tiers below in quality and flavour (not hating on Fonda just using it a comparison). If you enjoy Mexican food you have to try this place.
Ordered a black bean taco and the nachos with salsa and sour cream. When I first looked at my taco, I was disappointed as it looked like beans and corn on a tortilla. I was floored by the flavour in the taco, I dunno where it's hiding in the salsa or guac but it was delicious! I don't even like guac. Exact same thing for the nachos, the salsa was full of flavour and both meals where fresh and authentic. Prices are reasonable/standard and they were VERY quick. Photos don't do it justice, but will defs be coming back!
I was told that they would call when the order was ready but after a long wait and no call I went to collect and it had clear been sitting there as everything was cold. But it was tasty. I recommend getting the burrito without the quinoa/rice as then the other ingredients can shine without starchy 'filler'. The tacos taste even better heated up the next morning for breakfast
Who would've thought one of my favourite Mexican restaurants in Victoria would be hidden away in Lorne? ! We started with tequilas (wow for the Don Julio 1941.so smooth) then a tasty corn. For mains, we shared the beef, pork, fish and chicken tacos and they were all delicious! Simple, but full of tasty juices and flavour. The chorizo quesadillas were also some of the best I've had. We finished with a yummy tres leches cake. Overall, an amazing meal that wowed our tastebuds. Thanks to the fun, friendly team who served us that night.
$8 for 1 piece of corn? ! This place is unreasonably expensive to the point you almost feel like leaving. The food are small portions and not amazing but satisfactory. Service was not tip worthy.
Best tacos i have ever had
And the Corn was melting in my mouth
Bit expensive but on Tuesdays they offer best prices
Good food and service. Reasonable prices. Licenced so array of beers. Will go back again next time we are staying in Lorne.
Good good, however incredibly overpriced. $20 for a burrito or quesadilla and $40 for a jug of sangria. Also there was a very limited space for seating
Authentic Mexican, quick and friendly service, Excellent drinks, very reasonably priced, family friendly.
Decent food, I had corn starter (delicious), black bean taco and margarita to drink. The cocktail was a bit $$$.
This is one of my favourite meal stops when on the Great Ocean Road. Friendly staff and very good burritos. The place could use a coat of paint, but has a nice vibe and offers some nice tunes.
Authentic Mexican food around Lorne
Best customer service and super friendly staff
All the dishes were awesome
