Knowledgeable and extremely helpful staff. Great prices, a large variety of products. If only a bigger car park was available.

Great shop for big and little kids

Unfortunately this store is not for the hobby BUILDER - caters for "already constructed" models and no RC aeroplane build kits.

Great range of RC models in-stock, but knowledge of the kits they sell and what they require could do with some work.

Dont blindly rely on their knowledge as it will be at your time and expense when they screw up.

***Edit free of charge part to fix, the part didn't show up when told it would and I was on my own to find parts numbers for the part in the first place.

I would of ordered from another shop express post (that had stock) if you weren't 100% sure it would be in that week.

There was a deadline to have the car working properly and you missed it, hence I had to buy the correct servo from another shop to get me out of the bind and stop further wasted time.

I'm just glad to see a Hobby Shop in the suburbs. Two small criticisms would be that I expected a bigger range of car-based model kits, and secondly, there appears to be no order to how the plastic kits are displayed in any one section. That makes it difficult when you're looking for something specific.
Other than that, a great experience

Great experience with the staff. Have been to their store, purchased online and recently Click & Collect. Staff are always friendly, patient and courteous. Definitely my go-to store for all my LEGO and Gunpla supplies.

The guys and gals at Metro Hobbies have been great. We bought an rc car for my son's birthday, and though it ended up being faulty from the manufacturer, the metro guys were quick to sort it out for us - no ifs, no buts.
Afterwards they helped us pick another car, the postage was super quick, and the ongoing provision of advice for other rc projects has been great. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Thank you.

Abysmal experience which is disappointing as most don't experience the same, not sure how I got unlucky. No communication after ordering for several days - sent a follow up email which received no reply. Called to inquire what was happening with my order last Tuesday (6 days after ordering), was told they were waiting on a delivery and it will be sent out the next day - ask for a quote on express shipping as I'd like my product before the weekend. Still nothing on Wednesday - call to confirm if items can be sent express, nope, still waiting on items. Send an email on Thursday asking to have my order canceled if it hasn't been sent - no response. Call on Friday and told they were sent yesterday (not true). Receive an email on Friday evening saying the items have been posted. 9 days for dispatch, 14 days and still no items in sight.

Great place a special thanks to David from the call center for his great customer service and following up on my request and getting back to me promptly thank you for all your help with my Kyosho parts and organizing my Spektrum DX5 Pro to be sent out to your city store your a legend.

Really excellent customer service came in handy for an eBay order that was having trouble reaching me. I have no hesitation in buying from them again.

I have used metro hobbies a few times now. Bought online from website and eBay store. Their customer service is amazing, staff are very knowledgeable and go out of their way to help the customer. Products are always dispatched and delivered quickly and sell top quality products. Would absolutely recommend them and will definitely be my first place to go when I need anything

I have shopped in-store and online and the service was excellent. Friendly staff always happy and willing to give advice, and a great, robust website with very quick delivery. Items come neatly packaged and never damaged, postage is free for orders over $50.
Good prices on most model kits and frequent sales make this place good value too.

Absolute legend of a place, ordered some stuff Sunday and had it in Brisbane by Tuesday. 10/10 would recommend for all your hobbie needs. Has a lot of stock of hard to find stuff too. Awesome place!

Regret selling my old plasma edge, I'm in a hunt for a new one. Unfortunately no stock Australia wide. Emailed the sales team for preorder availability, Sarah on the other side managed to secured one for me. Update on ETA is as simple email away and replied promptly as well. Price are cheaper and Quick delivery. Can't wait for weekends to build my new kit. Thanks Metro, thanks Sarah. Much appreciated

First impression was good. Friendly staff and service. Recently got back in radio control trucks/bashers. A couple faulty products from two vehicles was resolved reasonably quick but a my third and probably last purchase the rc vehicle was missing some vital parts (pinion gear and motor mount screws) for a ultimate basher (Arrma Kraton EXB Roller Chassis). Was told changes was made by manufacturer and there was no changes to packaging and user manual. Every unboxing video you watch had these parts included. Even MH's own website states there's a 12T pinion. So it felt like I bought an incomplete advertised product and ended up having to purchase the missing parts. So yeah the good service at first but you're expected to throw money at problems that isn't your fault. Way to dampen the local hobby shop experience. Thanks but no thanks

Restock pretty quickly, good variety, gundam seems expensive but when you factor in shipping costs its ok

Knowledgeable, happy, friendly staff. I could spend all day here lol. I've recently moved and this is now my new local hobby store. If they don't have what you're after, they'll get it!
