I recently purchased a 1/10 Schumacher icon2 F1 car (awesome kit). Unfortunately when I received wheels/tyres for the kit they arrived damaged. I immediately contacted metro hobbies and talked to Dennis the salesman/Manager (he originally sold me the kit. Very helpful and very knowledgeable) his concern was instant. He gave me a link to the Metro Hobbies support team. As soon as I sent some photos of the damage I was instantly contacted by Lauren. Fortunately for me Lauren was amazing. From the get go she kept me in the loop, put my mind at ease and provided me with constant updates. What could have been a long and drawn out saga has been anything but. I would like to thank Dennis and Lauren for their efforts and attitude. I would highly recommend Metro Hobbies not only for their range but also, and more importantly for their after sales service. I really wanted to give A 5 star review even after my purchase was broken in transit. At first it seemed like they were very helpful to resolve the situation.
After being handed from one person to another and told two different things. I was left waiting over the weekend and told Monday I'll be contacted and sorted out. Monday I have waited by the phone and checking emails every 5 minutes until now. When business hours have
finished. I'll update my review if need be

If you a Modeler of anything this is the place. You will not walk out without "buying"/'Spending money" and be Happy about it

I've had a few good and bad experiences with metro hobbies but my most recent 2 dealing with david where awesome. He kept in contact throughout the whole process and was good to actually have someone chase something up and call you back not just say they are going to. Thank you david

It is easy to find fault, but after all we've been through with COVIDS and lockdowns it is simply wonderful to be able to walk into this shop, take my time and enjoy my visit. No pressure and the team at Box Hill are friendly and there if I need them

Ordered 2 jigsaw puzzles online and received them in 2 days. Super speedy delivery. Always happy with their huge range of jigsaw puzzles. Prices are good too!

Great for RC cars. Plenty of different models on the shelf for you to look at and poke around before you buy. Plenty of spares.

This is a great hobby shop, I've been going there for the best part of 30 years and it always has been.
They have a fantastic variety of stock and are very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Metro Hobbies.

Metro Hobbies caters for a broad range of hobbies. There is a big risk I'm going to spend too much time there! Staff were very welcoming and moreover very understanding and informative with beginners (which I think is very important for people getting into a new hobby). Great to see 'finished' things on display such as scale models and built Lego kits.

You only really find out how good a business is when something goes wrong. Unfortunately, we took our RC cars onto sand and they stopped working. The team spent time in the store to try and fix them. When they couldn't fix one, they sent it away. The repair team communicated well and fixed the issue much earlier than the expected time and at a very reasonable cost. Thank you!

If you're into dioramas, scale models, Lego, trains or RF models then this is a must-visit for you in Boxhill.

Wow the old store was wait way better had more rc stuff now it's all paints and trains, the hardware is all hidden the hand tools are all cheap Chinese junk! Such a shame never going here again! Also the staff keep asking every few seconds do you need help? It's ok thanks but people want to look to for items

Made my order with them online - great stock range and prices. But most importantly for us this retailer was willing to support safe drop postage options!
