Booked in for lunch, waitress was amazing. Had to wait an hour for the food to arrive, so kitchen was extremely slow. Could not fault the food once it arrived.

The most wonderful selection of seasonal food prepared with finese and platted with stylish simplicity served in a charming & calming atmosphere.

Found this gem of a restaurant right after the lockdowns. The choice of food are great, a little pricey but its worth it. The people here are also warm and friendly. Overall a must try if you're in Merricks.

We popped into Merricks on Saturday & bought a couple of bottles of bubbles. I paid via Eftpos (savings) and discovered today that I was charged a fee (which was not advised at the time of purchase). I believe if you are going to throw a fee on top of a purchase you should be advised.

Unfortunately we went back the next day for a wine tasting and a late lunch. We had been advised the day before that we didn't need a booking so we didn't book a table. When we advised the Staff that we did not have a booking they made a song & dance about it (when there were plenty of spaces). We said it was okay and that we could come back another time (with a booking) as we didn't want to make a fuss.

They insisted on giving us a table. We were placed next to a table with screaming children who used the whole restaurant as a playground (running around tables and under the feet of the Staff). We ordered the burgers. The burgers were moist but the chips were limp and full of oil. When we were asked about the meal and we advised it was OK (except for the chips) we were told "the chips are not good at the moment".

I believe you should advise of additional (hidden fees & charges) so you can at least have the option to pay cash. I believe you should accept feedback without providing excuses and I firmly believe that it is OK for Staff to ask patrons with children who are treating your establishment like a playroom at McDonald's to have them sit down - especially if you are going to charge over $30 for a Burger and inedible chips.

To the paddle boarder legend Tim. What genuine service you provided to my wife and I during the wine tasting. You're an asset to the business. Made me feel welcome and our mini camping holiday just a little more special for that day. Cheers mate.

The food and wine was delicious.
The service was a little lacking, however it was nice not to feel rushed while we finished our wine, and had another!

Nice spot for lunch. The portions were not huge, but they are very tasty! Also a nice selection of wines. Would come back when in the area.

Beautiful place to visit and just relax whilst spending time outside. Magnificent gardens to admire as well.

Food is absolutely delicious and service quick and lovely. Remeber to book in advance as this place is always busy.

One of the best venues on the Peninsula. MGWS totally took us by surprise with the quality and, importantly, integrity of their food. Can't wait to be back.

Beautiful garden setting with all types of food options. This is a place to really relax in. Indoors, outdoors, the store. Sitting in the herb garden drinking coffee feels like a holiday

Really charming venue. Attending a wedding recently and it was very nice. Wine menu was great, meals were good (if modestly sized) and whilst having the dancefloor in a different room was unusual, it was actually pleasant to have a dining area that was not as noisy later in the evening

Merricks had a nice, relaxing vibe and is situated in a beautiful old building off the highway. The food and drinks we had here were all excellent and the service impeccable also. There’s a nice courtyard area behind the building also.

Staff were excellent. The $33 burger was served with a cold, dry, meat patty, brown obviously old lettuce with a bun past it's use by date. Do better! Most of the group were underwhelmed, especially with the portion sizes, and left feeling conned.

Went here for lunch - food was so good! Lots of gluten free options; lots of wine to taste (they do tastings!) and lots of local produce to buy. Highly recommend and make sure you book ahead! Only remembered to take this photo of chocolate Grenache dessert - YUM

I've been here a few times for brunch and it's always lovely. Great setting, lovely staff and yummy food
