Several years ago, I decided to make RED SHED (Mitcham) my local go-to store after I (and others) had bad experiences with another local mower centre.
If you’re looking for quality gardening power tools, unbiased advice and unbeatable prices, then just go to RED SHED (Mitcham).

Scott, Michael, Hans and Trent are extremely knowledgeable, helpful and have a no-fuss approach coupled with excellent PR skills. An absolute pleasure to deal with.

In my opinion, there is no better place to go to purchase your gardening power equipment and more.

The 4 staff members each go beyond a 5-star rating.

Mick and Hans couldn’t be more helpful. I walked into the Mitcham store at 4.59pm and said I was interested in a Honda generator and was I too late. Of course not was the answer and when I asked for a Eu22i, they got one out there and then. Ran through the details and at 5.15pm I walked out with a new genie.

I’ll be back and would highly recommend them.

I recently had a Honda mower service and it’s like a new mower. Everything was outlined and actioned. Possible future wear and tear items were highlighted. The service was done on time and the cost was reasonable!

Highly recommend Scott and his team at Redshed.
I run a Gardening business and when my equipment needs servicing or repair work I only take it to Scott.
Scott goes out of his way to accommodate and I’m always very happy with the quality of workmanship and also the price.
I have recently started Changing my power tools over to battery powered and have found the stocked Husqvarna products to be amazing.
I was reluctant to leave petrol power but am loving the weight difference and quietness of the equipment let alone still having the power.
Thank you Scott for guidance and recommendations, as I said I don’t go anywhere else now.

The Sales person/ manager working on Melbourne cup holiday was condecending, arrogant and a terrible sales person who has no skill at selling their products. So rude l walked out and will not return, l was going to buy a lawn mower but l guess they can afford not to make these kind of sales must making to much money. Poor extremely Poor don't even want to give any stars.

Just replying to your comments below and I have read some of your other reviews that say exactly the same arrogant, terrible salesman and apparently you know who l was talking about. Also he did choose to work on a (public holiday) to sell to your customers and how did that go. Why would you think l would waste my time writing a review about a mower shop if l didn't have bad experience 10 years of knowledge against someone who has been cutting grass 45+ years think you are being a little condescending also anyway have a nice life.

Took Honda mower in for a service. Good communication, competive pricing and the mower runs better than it has in years. Will be my go to store now for all my mowing needs.

Scott Hans provided me with excellent service to change and fit a new trimmer head. He also went extra miles to explain how to put the lines into the head effectively. Good price for value. Much appreciated

Great friendly service!
Took my Stihl chainsaw in for a service, and he fixed it on the spot! Even though they don’t deal with a lot of Stihl products.
Would highly recommend these guys.
Hard to find service like that these days.

I dropped in on my way to work last week as the starter solenoid had broken in my Greenfield ride on mower, I walked in with the old one and told them what mower I had and showed them the one i had taken out of my machine the night before.
I was given one with 2 poles instead of one and was told this should work, after extensive testing that night long story short it just didn't work in my mower, I confirmed this by taking the same part out of a neighbors mower (another Greenfield) and testing this was the faulty part.
When I went to take back the one sold the day before I was told it should have worked even after I outlined all the steps and testing I had done, when I asked for my money back as the product was not right for my mower I was told they don't do refunds as "their machine can't do refunds" this is not good enough and when I pushed back I was still only offered a store credit!

Yes I did thanks for their time as I was being polite and I was clearly not happy when I left the store.

I’m sure the part supplied was most likely not faulty but was not suitable for my mower and this is the kind of knowledge I’d expect from a mower shop.
I simply told this should work and sold the part also when I came back the same team member said I knew this would happen.

As for the refund I was not told that refunds are done through head office only simply our machine doesn’t do them even when I pushed back i was just told sorry the machine can’t do it.
So yes for 30 bucks it wasn’t worth a huge fight and I said I’d use it to get some stuff for my next service, I didn’t really have a choice but imagine if you spent much more money on something that didn’t work….

I would like to thank Scott for his 1 hour patience, advise and knowledge to show me the options and recommendations on the products. It has been a pleasant experience. Excellent customer service and professionalism. Been back to the shop 2 times and glad I bought 3 Honda equipments. I always believe in supporting local and small retailers. Can’t thank you enough for your patience. Keep up the good work gentlemen’s at Red Shed Mitcham. Would definitely go back to service my equipments in the coming years.
