Recently got my veranda done with Melbourne Best Verandas and they did an amazing job! 100% recommend. They did all the prep work and made sure everything was ready.

We’re so in love with the verandah that Melbourne’s Best Verandah’s built. From the initial consult with Phil, we knew without a doubt that the build would be crafted with care, precision and extreme attention to detail. Phil, Michael & Dan were such hard workers, they worked in the rain and cold all while keep the space clean and were super considerate of our home. These guys had a crazy commute to get to our house and still they arrived with smiles on their faces. These guys are all round legends!
Special mention to Chrystal who keeps the project on track from the office, she gave us regular updates while we were waiting on council approval and was a delight to work with too. You really couldn’t hope for a better, more dedicated team and we’d highly recommend MBV to anyone and everyone!

From initial consultation to end of the project, Melbourne's Best Verandas have been exceptional and professional. We are very happy with final look and quality of our pergola. Phil and the entire guys are extraordinary, and they go an extra mile to get the work done with an awesome quality. Phil also suggested a better design where to have sky lights and what colours looks good for our pergola based on existing house frame colours. Throughout the project Chrystal and Phil kept us updating with up-to-date information.
Overall, if you want to have your own pergola built don't even search for any other guys just go ahead and talk to MBV and you won't regret it. Can't thank Phil for doing an excellent job. We are very happy with our new pergola:)

Just had my new carport installed by MBV. Phil and his team were extremely professional and a pleasure to work with. The entire process was done to very high standard. They went above and beyond to ensure the best possible outcome. They consulted me on each stage of the process and both my glazier and AC installer both commented on the quality of the work and finish. Couldn’t be happier.

From the quote, to the planning, working with other trades and then fit, Phil and team are the best!
We had a few curly challenges with other trades changing plans but Phil and team worked it out.
It’s the little things that made a difference, keeping us in the loop all the time, and then how clean they left the site. Even picking up shavings with a magnet so it’s safe for pets (sorry for the dog drool Phil!)
Final product is as amazing and we can’t wait to repaint tomorrow, fit an outdoor kitchen, and the spend an outdoor Christmas in the shade.

It was a pleasure to work with Phil and his team. From the initial design and quote with Rocky that explain all the aspects of the build and process and all the recommendations for us. Then comes to the build. The quality of the workmanship is really excellent, communication and professionalism from Phil and the build team are outstanding. It is a great experience for us to build our outdoor area with MBV.

It’s not often that the tin matches the label – a great experience all round!

We had previously engaged another company for a fully enclosed indoor/outdoor room but with the costs of materials skyrocketing after drawings were produced, this became unrealistic and we had to think on a bit of a smaller scale. After much research, we had ruled out a few companies who seemed promising until we picked up various red flags.

I recall a positive phone call with MBV and we arranged a time for a visit from their consultant, Rocky. I explained to Rocky that above all else, we wanted upfront honesty in any undertaking we might later make to engage MBV. Rocky provided some valuable advice and we had a discussion about how the process might work for us. At no point did Rocky push us to sign anything then and there – he confirmed what I had read online in that many outfits do not use their own people to complete the job – instead hiring fly-in-fly-out cowboys for quick and nasty results. I was assured that Phil, MBV’s director would be overseeing the project and that the crew would be MBV employees.

A couple of weeks went by as we were still getting our ducks in a row, and we contacted Rocky for a formal measure and quote – again nothing pushy – the decision was ours. Take note, rival companies – you don’t need to pressure people to get a sale – if you genuinely care for providing your customers quality advice and can stand by your product/service, they will come to you!

From this point, we were in the hands of Chrystal for all the administrative aspects of the job. Chrystal was fantastic in keeping us up to date every step of the way from the drafting of the plans, to getting approval from the Water Authority (we have an easement) to getting Council approval. The process can be slow when dealing with these authorities, but every time I would start to think this step is taking a little while now, Chrystal would be on to us with an update – a very underrated skill! I don’t think I had to ring MBV once to ask what was happening.

Once we did get our approvals, things moved quickly – we had a day and time for work to start. Phil and the team arrived on time every day, were polite, patient, and took excellent care in their work. Any minor problems were resolved by communicating with us and providing clear options to keep the job on track. Save for a day lost to rain, the work was completed to the expected timeframe and to an excellent standard.

MVB are involved in much bigger projects than our little old veranda at our modest home, but there was certainly no treatment accordingly. MVB are a rare outfit where every project is as important as the next.

We are very happy with the end result and looking forward to enjoying our new veranda this summer.

I contacted MBV based on their 5 star reviews, and now I can see why they have those reviews!

We originally planned to go with another builder, but with each question or visit, the price went up and we got the sense that they would do the bare minimum and then leave us to clean up the mess afterwards.

From my very first contact with Chrystal and then Rocky, I knew MBV valued customer service and integrity. Rocky was happy to visit a number of times to get our design right and there was never a hard-sell.

From there, Chrystal kept us in the loop along the way as we progressed through the permit stage. We didn't ever have to chase her from an update.

When the build commenced, Phil, Michael, Dan and Josh turned up when they said they would, were friendly and courteous and all showed excellent attention to detail. Attaching a new build to an old house isn't easy but they problem-solved along the way and offered advice on what would work best, and it was always a collaborative discussion, not one where the builder railroads the client to just get it over the line quickly and cheaply.

And all the trades used were also friendly, respectful and courteous. They all made what could've been a stressful experience actually enjoyable. We are almost sad that the build is over!

MBV delivered an outdoor area that we will enjoy for many years to come and I am very pleased to recommend them and add another 5 star review to their record.
