Worst place to study on earth, the early childhood department is an absolute disgrace. They are very disrespectful, the placement team disgust me with the lack of respect they have for the students. They are racist as I’ve seen with other students and the way they are treated.

It’s so surprising that in building E there is a bunch of office staff but they have no idea on who does the cleaning and to whom they need to raise the matter. Room E329 where I study, it’s in horrible state. Every Monday there will be mess with tissues, wrappers and dirty seats. The computers and the desk has been never cleaned. I come to study and not get sick with unhygienic conditions of the class room.

If the courses are run the way the enrolments are run I'd steer clear of this institutions. I received periodic calls, and they were basically just to say "you can't do the course now". Pointless.

I would recommend to anyone considering studying with Melbourne Polytechnic to reevaluate that decision.

Firstly, they initially FORGOT I enrolled and didn’t even put me in a class and wouldn’t have even realised if I hadn’t called repeatedly.

Secondly, not once but twice have I had to reenrol because admin and the head of department have either forgotten about me or pulled me out without so much as a phone call.

Thirdly, no one has called or even emailed me to tell me that I was not going to receive the certificate for the qualification that I have been striving to attain for nearly 2 years. Apparently I haven’t fulfilled the ‘criteria’.

The amount of times this negligent RTO has left me distraught and chasing answers is completely unacceptable and I would urge anyone who is considering studying with them DO NOT DO IT.
You will be treated as just a number. They do not care about their students and seriously lack basic communication skills.

I don't recommend anyone to come here, the teachers are very racist and there is a difference between the students and there is no order and order in doing things and nothing is fair there and even if you complain to the student service, nothing will change. If I could, I would give it zero stars.

My son is doing a barbering course and is supposed to finish this month. The communication with the staff is appalling and of course he will not finish all the requirements and will need to go back next year to finish. Do not waste your time and money!

The only positive was Student Services who gave support, understanding and compassion to my daughter.
However some of the teachers in the Patisserie Course were very unprofessional, had no idea how to support, encourage and give reasonable adjustments for my daughter (who has a mild disability) to help her progress in the course. No meetings were suggested in order to come up with a plan to keep her in the course (a total of 5 students only). My daughter was made to feel forced out of the course, her confidence crushed and her student file was not read by the teachers so they had no clue how to use strategies to support my daughter. The head of the department supported his teachers.
My daughter was discriminated against and it was heartbreaking. I do not want this to ever happen to anyone else again.

I've been going to Melbourne polytechnic full time since 2020 (I also did a short course in 2019) and I have absolutely fallen in love with the experience! I have had a poor experience with education before coming here, so this is a very welcome breath of fresh air! The campus handled the pandemic really well despite the circumstances, and continue to keep hand sanitisers on site! I have been doing performing arts and creative events themed courses since I begun and its been the most wonderfully informative and entertaining experiences I've ever had! Despite having a rough start due to covid, the events are wonderfully crafted and always a ball! I'm going to be very sad when I eventually finish here one day but until then, I am excited for tafe every week!

Very unprofessional, and lacks proper communication.
Many prestigious universities are now offering great certification programs that are both career oriented and internationally recognized. Give a very good thought before you consider being a part of this institution.

I have a great experience with Melb Poly in 2018/19. Had very good teachers in my part time course in building design. Teachers - (M. M) and (S. N) They went above and beyond my expectations. Highly recommended.

It is a very convenient location with train, tram and bus access literally at the doorstep. Huge campus with ample signs and maps to make navigation easier. Only drawback is not enough space to park.

The Overseas Overseas-Qualified Professionals Program (OQP) at Melbourne Polytechnic conducted by Ms. Lucy Gatto's is a fantastic program for foreign professionals who are struggling to find their first jobs in Australia. Ms. Lucy's method of preparing a CV, cover letter, interview answers, and many other insightful discussions with industry professionals gave me great insight into the Australian work culture. This program helped me find my first job in Australia. Best wishes to this program and Ms. Lucy!

Great place, experienced teachers and good campus.
Melbourne Polytechnic has given me the opportunity to study, I had a beautiful experience as a international student, I graduated, it give me two jobs in the last few years. No complaints. COVID-19 has made everything more challenging across the organisation, like many other RTOs, blended learning, face-to-face, online, everything has changed. Simply, we are adapting to new circumstances.

I am an employer who wants to sign up apprentices and trainees, within the hospitality department. I've tried for weeks, leaving messages for Gaetano, to no avail do I get a call back. I sent an enquiry via the website, still I hear no word. I rang today and get told I'll; get Gaetano to ring you back as he is the only person that help in this regard. With all the admin staff at Polytechnic are you telling me only one person has the skill set to sign up hospitality students! He hasn't rung back as yet and its been over 4 weeks. The new semester begins shortly and my staff will miss out. I rang the complaints department but also, just a recording. Its obvious they don't have the need for local students. We want to educate our youth and this is how motivating it is for them to get started. So each week after telling my staff I'm just waiting on a call back they are a little disheartened, wonder why!

Absolutely incoherent and unsuitable test, that does not take into consideration the human factors such as age, stress, physical conditions and above all the recent socio-economic situation of human hardship caused by covid19. I have tried several times to have a suitable score to have my Australian residence, even asking and paying for the recount of my test, they replied to me with vague emails without any details or changes in my score. I hope that the Australian government will force a review of the policies by which this test is carried out which is utterly inopportune and devoid of consideration for people who make enormous sacrifices to take up residence. As far as I am concerned, I will take the IELTS test which certainly also considers the human aspect and I will apply for my residence fully aware that I have deserved it.

I'm writing a review as i attended this campus for the PTE exam. It is a serene, relaxing and green campus with plenty of onsite parking with cheap rates. I paid $3.50 for four hours. There are clean toilets and vending machines inside the E building and the staff prior to the exam was friendly, explained the process in detail. The computer booths and accessories for the exam are comfortable and not too noisy. Nice place to sit for exam and i'm happy also cause i passed.

My daughter was doing the Architecture design class and the teacher refused to teach her and basically used stand over tactics to force her to quit the course early this year! My friends son has also been bought to tears by another teacher in a different area and it is absolutely disgusting behaviour. And I have heard many other parents stories with similar issues. Complaints were made, teachers not held accountable and school just said enrol for next semester with the same teacher! Appalling! Do not recommend at all!

The hair unit damaged my hair. A student used the wrong product bottle on my hair and caused permanent damage. The teacher was not paying any attention and when I met her again to see the damage she was not honest to tell me the truth. It was my first time to visit their salon and I have now a permanent damage to my hair!
