I have been going to Melbourne pawn brockers several times and Mala and tye the staff are very nice and helpful and welcoming I like going there i wouldn't go anywhere else and if you want to pawn anything they give u the best price and the interest is excellent 50%discount if u get it back in 7 day's and they have nice jewellery and other items too I like pawning my jewellery there 10 out of 10

Purchased a new phone three weeks ago for $1,379. Took it into get a loan and was offered $30-40. Not $300-400. $30-40. I have no idea.
Also conveniently closed for the first two weeks of January so you cannot redeem your goods.
I never thought I'd find a pawnbroker worse than Cash Converters but here it is.

Some of the worse customer service I have ever experienced. It had a "sleezy used car sales" feel to it.specifically, the ignorant staff.

Not sure or how this store is still in businesses.

One of the guy staff is very unfriendly. He served me with racist attitude. All are good except him. I hope owner should take action on it

Lady that works there is arrogant and seriously needs to understand the value of great customer service. She's put me off from returning back as a customer.

Melbourne Exchange Jewellers and Pawnbrokers have friendly staff. However, their interest is really really high compared to other pawnbrokers.

To me they were professional helpful people. The place is small private space so I felt comfortable. I just needed a short term loan for my business and they gave me half the interest rate for picking up my loan the first month. Thanks guys!

Have been dealing with this place for 2 years for my gold and silver chains. Used to be treated with common courtesy, however I believe the place is under new ownership/management and has now lost my business as a repeat customer due to the sheer rudeness of their staff.

This place is dodgy. If you have pawned your stuff at Melbourne Pawn Brokers then forget your stuff, they won't give it back. Even if you are one day late to pay the interest they will take your stuff and tell you they have sold it, even though they haven't. They do this because they know that they will get double the money when they sell it. There interest rate is 40% per month (480% per year). The employees are very rude and act like criminals. Victorians please avoid this place. I couldn't pay the interest and I contacted them over the phone and advised that I will be coming to pick up my stuff the next day. When I arrive they tell me that the item has been sold and the staff I spoke to is on leave. I have lodged a complaint against them. I genuinely want people to know about this place and never ever go near to them.
