This pawnbroker is professional, polite and has a can do attitude. They are prepared to consider a wide variety of goods for loan or sale and in my experience, the loan amount or sale price offered by them is more than fair. They have an efficient system which means that you can be in and out in a very short time. Their location on Flinders St is central and very accessible plus they are open a little later than other pawnshops, so it’s well worth the trip if you are not in the CBD. I highly recommend this pawnbroker, definitely give them a try.

Owner was far more interested in trying his pick up lines on a new customer than getting a commission from the customer he was dealing with.

Had an item that was brand new in box with full receipt and was asking pawn for half total value. Explained to lady it was brand new then without asking she opened the box and started taking everything out. I asked her what she was doing she explained she was curious despite it being brand new. After that she proceeded on long spiel about new price vs pawn price and looking at her screen for a long time. Then explainedthat she couldn't loan what I was asking as she found newversion's of it on ebay for $100 less than I paid. Given it was an apple product I doubted it. Lo g story short offered me a bit over 3rd of cost on $400 item. None if it bothered me other than the long amount of time it took to make an offer and unsealing a brand new apple item. Usual process would take 1/4 of time it took them to make an offer or decline. I politely declined offer and went to one of her many competitors which gave $20 less than value. I never intended on not picking item up and this pawn shop list a customer permanently.

What an Adventure.brought a Gold Detector from MPB and Ben said he'd deliver it all the way to Cheltenham! Unfortunately, I got the address wrong and he even went back to wrong address to retrieve it and then bring around to my place! What a Champ! Going the extra mile and then some more! (Thanks)

Paid for a pendant to be evaluated, was told it would take a week to be done, it’s now two months later and I haven’t heard back from them even after calling and leaving messages. Very disappointed.

When needing a big night at the footy with family, the massive attraction, was that this place is open on Sunday.
Best to bring smaller, mainstream things, and not massive musical equipments, but as Cashies and Co would send you begging, Ben had the heart to help.

All sorts of problems with paying on time, but the team at The town's BEST pawnbroker cut a lovely deal, and I went back for a phone at a lean price.

To find service, range, friendliness and reason, in a small space on a weird thing with me under the pump, too greatful I am to have started dealing with this place.

It was the first experience of a pawn shop I had and Ben and his team were welcoming, accomodating and very generous. It was prompt, professional and trust provoking. Ben especially has a beautiful gift of being personable and understanding of your situation and wants to know the situation that you have and is willing to listen for extra help he can give. They go out of their way to help you in anyway they can. You get funds immediately and you walk out happy to leave your goods. There is no other place in Melbourne for your items. Melbourne Pawnbrokers have the big thumbs up. A+ 10/10

Melbourne Pawn brokers are a professional establishment with an amazing customer service. They have always worked with me and helped me not just with pawning my items but with understanding and flexibility with repayments if i was going though a tough period. Staff are incredibly empathetic to those in love. They took the guess work out of me having a choose an engagement ring based on the theme of a birthstone. Customer service is right off the scale and there is not enough stars that you could fill in to rate this business. Prices are great as this small job is ran with low overheads. Why pay through the nose at a big mall shop when a little discernment you can find this gem of a shop tucked away in busy metropolis of a land down under. As a matter of gratitude I shared with the shop three short stories of my love and devotion to a lady 8,000 km away in the different kingdom of this world.

I have been going to Melbourne pawn brockers several times and Mala and tye the staff are very nice and helpful and welcoming I like going there i wouldn't go anywhere else and if you want to pawn anything they give u the best price and the interest is excellent 50%discount if u get it back in 7 day's and they have nice jewellery and other items too I like pawning my jewellery there 10 out of 10

The customer service and professionalism of this small store is nothing short of appalling. Rude, a tad arrogant and very non-competitive. Turn around there are much better choices in its proximity.
