Had a really wonderful birthing experience thanks to Vin Rane and his team. Couldn’t recommend more!

Was not happy with the way it all ended … during my last few weeks we had to book for induce the practice manager we requested certain date 4 weeks in advance she never followed up. Then when we called them few time to follow up she was so rude n asked us not to call back they will get back to us n never happened… she never followed up on the request at all … later after the delivery which was normal.we never heard or saw dr Vinay Rane again … after 4 weeks his practice manager calls me n force me to make an appointment with other doctors Naidoo for the checkup … when we went to the appointment waited for 1 hour dr mention he has no knowledge of my case so he cnt check me, n he was already running late … living my 4 weeks old baby home n waiting for 1 hour finally dr says he cnt check me … n when I mentioned to the receptionist she told she will follow it up n call me In rebooking the appointment.as usual never heard from them again …very disappointing the way they pushed me around to other dr and no empathy Towards us.never expected this from an establishment like Melbourne mothers. I would not return there or suggest anyone to do so …

Dr Rane and Dr Sammartino have been phenomenal in the care provided during my pregnancy. I highly appreciate the empathy shown towards the to be moms well being. Their after hours clinic is a relief for working women. A special thanks to all the reception staff who have always helped with providing the best pregnancy management support. Truly a family clinic. I had my second baby with Dr Vinny Rane as I wanted to attempt a VBAC - 18 months after my first baby. Vinny was very supportive until many converging factors come to the fore at 35/36 weeks and a cesarean was then the safest option. I was traumatised by my first cesarean and had a horrific recovery and Vinny was very cognisant of my trauma and made me feel very supported and nurtured for my second cesarean - small things like giving me a hug before the surgery, holding my hand and always holding a smile and positive demeanour. It’s rare for an obgyn to be as caring and genuine as Vinny and also as talented when it comes to his surgical ability. My second cesarean healed me of the trauma I had with my first because he was so gentle in the surgery, gliding my baby girl out so carefully. Very different to my first who was ripped out from me so viciously for a planned cesarean. My recovery through Vinny was nothing short of incredible, I was driving after 3 weeks. With my first I could only walk to the letterbox at 8 weeks.
I was back to exercising at 3 months, my first 9 months. He’s truly a miracle surgeon and a wonderful obgyn. He was very accommodating too for after hours appointments so my husband could come and his offices and staff are very family friendly with toys. Highly, highly recommend Vinny!

Not only is Dr Rane extremely competent & clever, he is is also so very very kind. He has such warmth and compassion for his patients. I had suffered for years with severe endometriosis. I was constantly being dismissed as “your body is just getting older” I just wished I’d gone to Dr Rane in the beginning. I felt so heard and understood by him and his whole team. His assistants are so lovely and full of patience and compassion also. I cannot praise Dr Rane and his team enough.

Prof Ranay, or Vinny as he prefers to be called, was more than just an OB/G for us. In having our first child, Vinny supported us through a challenging pre pregnancy period and a pregnancy which was present with the anxieties many describe throughout their first pregnancy.
Vinny boasts a highly impressive CV, although his hallmarks beyond this are what we feel make him an outstanding choice to support individuals and couples through their pregnancy journey.
These qualities include the care and effort he dedicates towards his patients, level of engagement to both husband and wife (he really seemed to appreciate the important role of the father throughout our pregnancy journey) along with his down to earth nature, sense of humour and genuine care for our wellbeing in its entirety.
Vinny is a great person and excellent doctor first and foremost which is why he is able to provide such an outstanding experience. The delivery of our baby girl along with the recovery all went really smoothly and we can't wait to have Vinny deliver our next baby.

From my first visit Vinay Rane made me feel at ease and very much heard. He has given me back a quality of life, I didn't have previously. There was a no nonsense approach and I have always felt well cared for. Follow up is amazing and I would not hesitate to recommend Vinay Rane. He also has a great sense of humour.

I started my care under Dr Vinay Rane halfway through my pregnancy, after I had a negative experience in the public. Dr Vinay is a lovely person and extremely down to earth. I always felt relaxed under his care. I was able to discuss my birth plan with Dr Vinay and make a decision based on a consideration of risks vs.benefits and evidence-based practice, relating to birth options. I had an elective caesarean, which was the most natural and beautiful experience. Dr Vinay and his team provided me with the highest level of care and service. I'm really happy with my birth outcome - a healthy baby and mum! My c section scar is small and neat, and healing well. It's quite low in the bikini area and hardly noticeable. I would like to say also that we were very impressed with the appointments flexibility after hours so that my partner could attend, helpful receptionists Julie and Denise, thoughtful post-birth follow up and the overall holistic care approach by Dr Vinay of treating the whole patient not just the condition.

I've had the pleasure of seeing Dr Vinay Rane for both obstetric and gynaecology services and my experience throughout both journeys was second to none.
Vinay is a legend in his field, my family and I received exceptional care, support, expertise and best of all humour, throughout what can often be a daunting time in any woman’s life.
Vinay gave me the confidence and strength to birth in a way I had always envisioned and was attentive, gentle and thoughtful throughout all elements of before, during and aftercare.

Dr. Vinay is an absolute legend. Knowledgeable, sensitive, informative… I Me and my partner immediately felt at ease and felt confident. He was spot on with his treatment throughout my pregnancy. His happy personality and great sense of humour is a bonus. It’s rare to find a doctor that combines such personal touches and care for a patient as a person with outstanding quality of medical care. I had a seamless delivery experience and very quick postpartum recovery. Melbourne mothers staff- Julie, Jess.were super efficient, helpful, patient. All four thumbs up for these amazing people.

Professor Viney Rane delivered both my boys and my whole experience both times was amazing. He is so caring and down to earth and makes you feel so comfortable. He hands down is the best. Highly recommend

What can I say? He is the most caring, attentive, understanding medical professional my partner and I have ever met.
When my partner was severely unwell, he was the only doctor who understood the issue and provided the solution.
The legend even took a phone call at 4am, and wanted to know how she was.
I can not praise him enough, and without doubt he saved my partner’s life.
I have never known a more incredible person.

I could not recommend Melbourne Mothers more to any woman looking for any Gyno/Pregnancy assistance. He is a highly successful and educated man, but it's his humble nature that won my husband and me over from the start of our pregnacy journey. He was literally there throughout the whole process and answered calls whenever which eased my nerves 100% of the time. His sense of humour and calm manner also played a huge role in me feeling confident throughout the entire pregnacy. To say he is a hard worker is an understatement. He truly deserves all the best that life has to offer him, because he works day in and day out to fulfill everyone else's dreams of having a family, something which Is priceless to most.
