Melbourne Marriott Hotel reviews
58Amazing buffet. Staff are very hospitable, Excellent valet service accessible to amazing night life restaurants, Chinatown, comedy nights! Stayed top floor worth the stay.
Had a great time @Melbourne Marriott Hotel!
It has a classic charm to it with older decor and photos of Melbourne's history around the hotel.
We stayed in the room with the private courtyard and hot tub with outdoor movie.
Such a great experience!
Staff were very friendly and helpful
Excellent service and Buffet breakfast. Thanks especially goes to Karran for providing excellent adaptive service for our personal customer needs. Thanks!
3: 30 in the afternoon on Sunday and the hotel cannot self you a coffee. Exceptionally under performance.
Wish could give them negative stars! Absolute appalling service from the hotel of this rating and class. Manager Shane on duty on 13th March 2021 had no customer service attitude at all. He was unprofessional and don’t know what kind of mentorship this kind of manager will provide its staff. Replace him as soon as you can before he destroys the reputation!
Nice and tidy spot.
Executive lounge is currently closed due to covid (30.12.20)
Good location to explore the city from.
Great hotel but since last week has shut down catering areas due to virus impact on interstate. Small pop up counter meals are good.
Stayed here with my daughter & her 6week old baby boy. Wasn't even inside the revolving doors, still on the pavement & this lovely young lady from behind the main desk, came running out to help unload all our luggage. Right there they had my 5 star rating.
I can't say enough about friendly customer service, it is a must in my books. Lovely double room with the most comfy king size beds I've ever slept in. Very handy to the free tram but also walking distance to several shopping centers. Would definitely stay here again.
Very welcoming and kind staff this is why the 4 starts. Service makes the difference. Yet, Average room, for the Marriott. Small limited gym. Mostly disappointed by the menu choices for in room service. This is limited to the extent that looks like the same of the Ibis. If traveling for work and on a tight schedule you may like to enjoy something in room. Breakfast equally limited. Again if you are traveling for pleasure and keen on big buffet and large rooms you may be disappointed. Coffee not at Melb standards.
Thank you Marriott hotel.
You guys are doing amazing job Service specially for Indian food delicious
Good luck
I was here for a conference and the service was excellent. The staff made arrangements for me to transport my equipment to and from the hotel and when I accidently left some equipment behind, they found it and helped get it back to me!
If anybody is trying to find good deals for hotels visit HotelBuIIy.com booked a hotel on there and they had the best rates anywhere!
What can I say about this hotel but truly wonderful staff, every single one of them. After traveling the world and staying at many hotels, I can just say that the staff here make you full welcome and really place in that attention to detail.
Be careful when you check in. They have sparkling on arrival however if you have 2nd glass manager will tell you that you not allowed to have it. Other reception staff are extremely friendly. Wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
Quiet and comfortable place in the CBD, adjacent to Chinatown. Breakfast there is decent albeit typical hotel (over) pricing. There are likely better values out there but I still prefer to stay here when travelling to MEL.
The staff were always accomodating and friendly. The club lounge was a lovely experience and well worth the extra money paid to use these facilities. On our first night we ordered Indian takeaway from a local restaurant and when the food arrived, Rice and Roti bread were missing from the order. No problem for the Marriott Melbourne and their staff, as soon as I mentioned I had an issue with my takeaway order, they quickly provided me with 3 serves of saffron rice at no charge and with a smile. Well done Marriott Melbourne!
Please don't allow Chris Bril from Corky St. Clair stay here. He is a predator and child molester. Hide yo kids, hide yo wives.
Food was fantastic, service was completely average for the High Tea.
We had a 2pm booking and got there about 2.10pm. We were seated and was told we go up to the tea bar to get our tea. Turns out you have to go up and make your own tea. I found this rather odd and really detracted from the whole experience. I asked for a blooming tea and that was brought to my table and that was much nicer.
At 2.30 I thought it had taken a long time for the high tea platter to come out so I asked one of the servers and she told me she would follow it up. 15 minutes later and she hadn't come back to let us know what was happening so I got up to ask another server and she saw me and told me it would be out soon. Not sure why someone didn't come to the table to tell us this. We did get an apology when it was finally served.
The food was great! Scones were wonderful and hot, the platter was really nice overall.
Overall a pretty good visit but probably won't return.
I recently visited the cafe to have breakfast. Everything was delicious and the staff was very attentive.
Fairly basic five star hotel. Bland motel quality bathrooms and view of blank wall in 50% of rooms. Staff all very helpful and friendly though.
Great staff, good room let down by zero powerpoints at the desk. Makes it very hard for any business traveler to do work.
