Melbourne Charcoal Chicken

Guys, what is going on here? ! This was the only chicken shop to go to in the area, but now I wouldn’t even bother. Two times in the last week we have been and no scallop potatoes. The chips have been changed and are greasier than a fish and chip shop. Pick up your game cause honestly, the food is you all had going for you guys

Used to love this place, after today I will never return again.
Soggy, oily chips, cold chicken, Greek salad was not fresh. Service is bad.

Ordered thru Menulog. The food was far from fresh, more like yesterdays leftovers, and you are only 5 min away. SHOCKING! TERRIBLE QUALITY. Do you expect any re-orders? Shame on you. Stay far away from these thieves.

Terrible chips, terrible customer service… bring back the old Melbourne charcoal chicken this place is completely rubbish now

I used to love this place but the chips are rubbish now. Short drive home and they are nasty and sweaty, Different box, different supplier? Go back to what you were doing before.

Large chips were very disappointing, soggy & soft (appears they were reheated) also container they came in was not full. Previously chips were always great. Chicken was OK.

We find the food very tasty and reasonably priced. We love the fresh take on the salads and the fried chicken is better than KFC! Highly recommend trying it!

Not sure what’s happened but instead of a half chicken hot pack with extra pumpkin, I received chicken, 2 potatoes, an overcooked mix of random veggies & the extra pumpkin was undercooked. The potatoes tasted like old oil and vegies tasted weird. Usually the meals here are good but not tonight.

Avoid. Was a first time customer tonight and won’t be back. Was convinced to upgrade to a deal. Problem was they sent me on my way with someone else’s meal. I paid for a whole chicken and some salad. What we ended up sharing was a quarter chicken between the family and enough salad to sink a battle ship. Food wasn’t great either, a very unsatisfying Friday night take out. Complained to a friend and they said they stopped coming here. I might do the same.

Used to have the best chips in Melbourne, ownership changed hands and now the food has gone down hill real bad. A good thing has been ruined

New favourite charcoal chicken place. Good service from a clearly dedicated young crew. Big variety of salads on offer and plenty of fresh chicken. Constant stream of customers going in and out because they're ticking all the boxes, well done.

Best chips and dim sim anywhere! On the pricier side for charcoal chicken, but chips and dimmys are worth it!

The chicken was dry and the chips tasted like they had been fried and then refried.

I was a customer for 20 years, the old lady who ran this place was so fair and straightforward, they had great chicken and chips, now new management, new décor, prices gone up, quality gone down, will not go there again.

Best chicken and chips in at least a 15km radius! Salads are always consistently good, but far the best ones are the mushroom, bean, and tabouleh salads. It's a bit pricey, but it's always delicious and fresh.

What a disaster it feels like. I walked in and they were out of everything, the entire place was a complete mess. Dirty everywhere. The chicken tastes very bland and it feels like the staff putting my meal together was having a meltdown as nothing was clean there. Chips were OK and the chicken was BAD in my opinion.

I wouldn’t go there again.
