Mediterranean Wholesalers reviews
56Really cheap and good wholesaler of Italian products in Melbourne. They are not the highest quality but the price is great
This is a fantastic place for Italian groceries. Great selection of pastas and I love their range of wines and spirits.
Sometimes though, the ability of the check out operators to ignore the customer while gossiping is astounding lol.
A paradise for nostalgic Italians. You can dive into a sea of Biscotti, Neapolitan pastiera, Crostata, bread, pasta, sauce and cured meats. A true institution that has kept its core values for decades. A must see (and taste) for all the lovers of Italian delicacies.
Great place for a variety of different pastas, sauces, meats and they also do some delicious cakes. Prices are very reasonable for the quality you get.
In my opinion, it is the best store to shop for everyday continental goods. It has great pricing and a wonderful range. The cafe serves very good value cakes and pastries. The coffee is kind of average but with a price that is unheard of. Unfortunately, coffee is not available on Sundays even though the cakes and pastries are.
Love this place, and I would make give it 5-stars if the opening hours weren’t so terrible! Businesses like this should be open until at least 7pm on most weeknights, so us 9-5 workers can actually frequent their business.
Prices have been better - but this shop provides a good range of the major staples for preparing Italian style food. Lots of pasta, sugo, Italian hard cheese, smallgoods etc. Decent but not outstanding wine range despite lots of shelf space. Like others, I find their operating hours prehistoric.
I love MW, fabulous products at excellent prices. We visit regularly to stock up on pasta, canned tomatoes, deli goods (a good proportion of which are direct from Italy). I really struggle to NOT spend too much money every time I am there, but it is always money well spent. Their little bakery counter is also sensational. Their breads and house-made pasta offerings (to take home and cook) are delicious and are staples in our kitchen.
Authentic Italian Deli /Supermarket. They supply specialtie items that are not sold elsewhere. I love this place and have been going for years. PERONI CHILL LEMON, Bergamot liqueur and biscotti with variety of different sweets. Deli, huge choice of olives, canned goodies and not forgetting the enormous choice of pasta. Then when you are finished shopping end the visit with a nice espresso coffee. Bravo.
The place is massive!
Great range of incredible authentic Italian groceries at great prices.
If you like to prepare Italian food at home from time to time,
this place is definitely worth a visit.
This place is an absolute gem. Wholesale cheeses, fresh made pasta and oh so drinkable Italian wines at low prices. There are more types of dry pasta that I even new existed!
I love the chilli antipasti, aged vinegars and fresh biscotti.
No trolley available on two shopping trips and when i asked about it i was told i would have to go out and get one myself!
Fantastic selection and variety of Italian goods at good price. It includes a ‘corridor of pasta’ with more than 50 varieties of pasta related options (we took the time to count), cheese, olive oils, and all other sort of authentic Italian food ingredients. We were also surprised by their selection of Italian coffee machines of all sizes, pasta machines and other products. And the price is just great being most of the products even cheaper to what you can find at Coles and Wholies. This place is definitely worth a visit with you like to prepare some authentic Italian food at home from time to time.
One of the few places in Melbourne where you can find proper Italian food, like burrata, taralli, fresh pasta and 'nduja as well as awesome cheese and cured meat. A must for nostalgic Italians, as well as for everyone who actually enjoys italian food.
Old school Brunswick at its best. Every time I visit I find a new treat. At the moment I'm working through their Amaro range. Warm freshly baked bread every day too.
