Mediterranean Wholesalers reviews
56 A true Brunswick gem. Fresh bread, fresh pasta, Italian cured meats, canned and preserved goods, and so many different Italian cheeses.
The ricotta cake they make here is incredible. Make sure to bring cash as the cake section is cash only.
I don’t understand why you have to pay for coffee and cake they don’t accept card and if you buy groceries or deli products you can pay by card it doesn’t seem right to me and don’t bother buying any biscotti from them. They must’ve been there since last Christmas so hard they were as hard a brick, you could not even eat them. Don’t bother to go to the coffee shop for coffee and biscotti
NOT FRESH and so. Expensive
Prices are up like everywhere else but still cheaper for genuine quality Euro/Italian food than everywhere else. Remains highly recommended
Largest delicatessen in the Southern Hemisphere!
Great selection of Mediterranean produce though a little expensive in some areas.
Excellent service and a great value coffee shop in-house
Walking into this Deli, brings back SO SO SO MANY WONDERFUL MEMORIES of going shopping with my Nonna when I was a little girl. Largest variety of Pasta, sauces, biscotti, antipasto goods and even traditional Italian alcohol. I can go on forever. Also want to mention the 2 lovely staff members that helped me find the pistachio cream & the sauce I was searching for. Loved shopping in this Deli.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Reasonable prices and some great thing I don't see elsewhere
Although they have great ltalian produce, l was disappointed with the variety - especially when there is an abundance of space to showcase so much more stock, but they choose to stack the shelves with boxes of excess stock that is already on display instead. These boxes should be stored in an appropriate storeroom and the space given to bring in even more labels and brands, making this a foodie's paradise.
Cool Italian shopping centre. I thought I was in Italy. Friendly staff and great stuff you won't find anywhere else
One of the city's best supermarkets, showcasing the best of Italy. Always enjoy a visit to this place.
Always a pleasure to visit, my family and I have shopped there for as long as I remember. Thank you for always making us feel like we are back in Italy️
Stay clear from the deli! No matter how many people are waiting or what time of day or day of the week it is, it is a minimum 20 minute wait to get served. I have waited 45 and in that time only 2 numbers have been called. The deli ladies go excruciatingly slowly on purpose. Ive had plenty of time to watch them to see this clearly. Plus its very pricey
The big change is that the founder of the store, Guiseppe Madaferri, died on 3 August 2022. Even at 96 he was still a constant presence in the store, will be missed by many
Enjoy a coffee and something sweet then do some shopping. Endless amount of products from Italy to try.
Originally from the Mediterranean I was really excited when I walked by this store, so I just went in for a short stroll to look at the products (and the prices) without the intent to buy anything. It looked like there's a very nice variety of Mediterranean products (especially Italian) which was exciting to find out, and the prices didn't seem too bad either. However, on my way out one of the cashiers hurried up and quite aggressively asked to see my bag (which I came in with) to make sure I didn't take anything. I don't really mind to let her search, though the attitude bothered me more than anything.
I will come back for a second chance because it seems like the variety is really good, but it was a bad first experience for me.
I am a regular here and every time I go the younger blonde lady with blue eyes at the checkout is always lovely & helpful.
Mate where do I start? The Great Wall of pasta? The yummy pasta dura? The salsas? This place is the Bunnings of Italian food!
Wonderful grocery for shopping Mediterranean ingredients.
Reasonable price, friendly staff
When they're available, they have the best tiramisus. I think about them maybe four times a day (everything else is good, too!)
Amazing choices, fresh, traditional. I come to buy the traditional Easter eggs for my grandchildren which has a surprise inside.
Great variety of Italian wines and general goods such as cheeses and pastas at very reasonable prices
