One of the staff members (wish I grabbed their name) who was a skin care expert, helped me out the other day with some dermalogica recommendations. I was freaking out and she was so patient with me. Gave me a couple of samples of the products I should use and one I bought. My skin has honestly improved drastically! I cannot recommend enough. So incredibly grateful. Thank you.
Honestly, and this isn’t just an issue at the Eastland store, this is an issue (for me at least) at all the Mecca stores I’ve shopped at. I don’t mean to sound rude or ungrateful but it can get extremely frustrating when there are sales staff coming up to you every 30 seconds asking if you need help. One is fine but last time I was at this store, every staff member who was working at the time came and asked me if I needed help and all I wanted to do was look around. Again, don’t mean to sound rude but it can get extremely frustrating
I believe the lovely lady who helped me out today was named Janice! She truly was incredible and helped me match my foundation perfectly, thank you so much!

I shopped at the Eastland store today, as a first time customer and in my mid 40’s I had the most amazing experience with one of the young girls, she was so helpful and new what she was talking about, unfortunately I didn’t get her name but she deserves so much praise. Although I haven’t tried the products yet I’m just happy with the service all round, from the girl on the door, the girl that helped me and the girl at the counter, such a lovely environment and will be my place for makeup from now on
Leading up to Christmas and the crazy busy time ahead these girls with smiles on their faces, friendly and helpful make for a pleasant shopping experience

What amazing customer service I received this evening (1 week from Christmas). No fuss. No issue. Just cannot tell you how much better their team made me feel. That’s the type of stiff you tip extra for in other countries
Not just that, presented my purchase to me like they were proud to sell it
On Saturday 13th Nov 2021. My closest store is at Eastland (40 mins drive) the staff members where super friendly, I explained several times to the lady who was helping me that I needed my products to be oil free. This wasn’t a problem, the staff member went and got a foundation and tinted moisturiser that she said was oil free. She tried to match the colours to my forehead which was slightly odd I thought afterwards (after going to Myer afterwords and greeting someone who knew what they where doing) double checking with the girl that the products where in fact oil free I purchased three products. Driving 40 mins back home I opened the wrapping paper to look and try my new items, only to noticed they didn’t specify on the packet (Oil Free) went online and found that two out of the three had oil, one had an option of oil free but obviously the staff members had no idea what they were doing and selected the wrong one. I had to drive another 40 mins back to exchange. After I spoke to the manager about what had happened she was sorry for and offered to help swap the items over for something without oil. I agreed until she said “ it must of been a miscommunication” after I heard this I asked for a complete refund of the two products and explained it definitely was not as I mentioned oil free multiple times and the staff member managed to get the oil free primer right!
The overall rant to this post, I put my trust in your “skilled” staff who are apparently ment to have knowledge on selling high end products at a high end price. Staff obviously need more education on products and shouldn’t really be offering help if they have no idea on what they’re selling. I lost half of my day with traveling there and back twice to be told it was miscommunication.
I went to Myer where my skin was colour matched to my neck and and I made my purchase there with experienced staff
I just went in to get a few things that I’d seen on the website and the girls at the door were so professional in taking my temperature and providing me with hand sanitiser. Ava then took me to where the items were that I wanted and got them for me and took them to the register. I felt so safe and protected and really want to thank the girls for such amazing service during this time xxx
Amazing staff, my makeup appt for my formal got cancelled elsewhere and they were so ready to step in and help me out. Alicia the girl who did my makeup did an amazing job and she was so nice and I’m so grateful.
Not one of the staff members greeted me. Racist much. Only greeted and offered help to the white people. I’ve been walking around for about 10mins now and still no assistance
No attentions were given by any staff. I bought a product and asked if I could try a small sample of a foundation and the answer was no. One month later, I went to the city store and the staff there were so lovely and offered way better services. They gave me free samples to try like a normal cosmetics store should be. So try shop at a bigger store if you can people! They often offer better services.
The cashiers took my member card however clearly did not scan it (I later checked online) this meant that I essentially missed out on a number of luxury samples - as anyone in the Mecca beauty loop knows, members must spend $300+ per year to become a member, however I was horrified to find that all the money I had spent was not added to my account (even after a month of waiting). This happened on several occasions, and must be quite common at Mecca. However at Mecca Cosmetica the staff member I talked to was super helpful and promptly added all the products I bought to my account.definitely a huge issue that NEEDS to be resolved.
Put simply, the team at Mecca Maxima Eastland are amazing! Every time I visit the store everyone is so helpful and always go above and beyond!
The lady that served me in the checkouts, didn’t give me a receipt and said “the receipt is in the bag” yet it wasn’t. We went back to return what we had bought and she told me she couldn’t do it. It was the same lady that served me. She told me if you had a receipt, you could of returned it but we thought we had the receipt because she said the receipt was in the bag, but it wasn’t.so we couldn’t take our product back and it wasn’t very good.
The ladies there were very nice though.
