Meat Market reviews
41Entertaining at every moment, mesmerising dancing, acrobatics, singing and cello, stunning costumes. Go see this show!
We saw Into the Woods here. I was not previously aware of this venue (I live in Sydney) but it is a great space for performances and a really interesting repurposed building.
Tribute to Queen Candlelight concert was amazing! Beautiful atmosphere with the talented Eclectic Strings presenting a magnificent nights entertainment! Well run with Covid safe protocols in place
I love this space when used for circus performances. You look up and the ceiling gives off one of the most nostalgic feelings. Plus the cobbled uneven floor is iconic of Melbourne Lane ways adding to the ambience of the space. Timed Parking can be found around surrounding streets but it can get really busy.
Saw Bred as part of the Yirramboi Festival. Great venue, very historic, the venue atmosphere was embracing.
Great space for all sorts of events. I just attended a theatre show there during Yirramboi festival
Historic, one of the kind venue. You have to see it to believe it, an intriguing mixture of old time feel within modernised Melbourne. A huge variety of events and several impressive venues which host art shows, theatre dance, album launches and more. The staff are extremely helpful on the phone and are possibly at replying to enquires. We love to see it.
Great theatre. Seen a number of performances here over the years. Allow time to find a car spot and watch the bluestone gutters.
I was here on vacation and thought it was somewhere you can buy some good quality meat, I was wrong: (
Very cool place to watch James Coleman's ministry of dance students perform! See you again meat market:)
What a great venue for an event. We went to the Mould cheese festival & it was perfect for that.
What a fantastic venue, it seems to engender a friendly vibe and memorable occasion whatever the event held there. Plenty of access for the disabled and great toilets. Easy to get to as well and a best bit of living history in it's own right.
Excellent "all purpose" venue, I recently went there to see the Boite Millennium Choir
Great venue! It’s a boutique venue that hosts many wine, gin and beer festivals. The bathrooms let it down a little but still a great venue. If you get a chance you should try and check out a festival here.
This was a great venue! They used it as part of Melbourne Knowledge Week 2019 where I saw the live recording of the Minefield Podcast! Such a brillaint event: really well set up and in an amazing open space where seating was not in any shortage!
Would love to come back to see other events here! Great place to check out if you haven't already: I'd be super curious to visit the other events/functions that they put on based on my first experience!
Went to see the Orbweavers there. Was good and I liked the curved wooden ceiling and animal heads.
Love this space shabby but inviting great place to see a play or experience some of Melbourne's Art offerings of all types.
Bought roasts, new york steaks, scotch fillets and cutlets. Cooked dinner tonight and its the first time hubby has said how nice the roast was. Counter staff were very friendly also. Finally i found a butcher that sells great meat
Love this space, very rustic, and every time I am there I have a ball of a time, great organizers, fantastic food options, interesting exhibitors.
