Meat Market reviews
41My husband and I watched the Candlelight tribute to Adele and it was fantastic! The venue was perfect for this ️
At the moment, the market is transformed into a great concert area. The Candlelight Concerts are performed here with a great of success. Personally, I think this is one of the greatest places to enjoy a concern of this kind.
My husband and I watched the Candlelight tribute to Adele and it was fantastic! The venue was perfect for this
Lovely intimate venue - production of Oliver by YABC was outstanding with all performers very good, Fagin and Dodger were superb
Just watched Christmas in Candlelight Orchestra today. The place is large enough for an orchestra performance. The temperature inside was a bit humid. We got seat A. 3rd row from the stage. Since all of the seats are on the same level, visibility is not that good. I did not fully enjoy the view of the candlelight on the stage and the quartet performance. Orchestra's music was OK. I think it's better to watch an orchestra in theatre.
Love this place but limited seating for productions. I was there for my sons' plays and it was a small space when compared to other places.
Parking is ok after or just before 6.30. You can park at 5 or so and be ok.
Went for an event here. Was quite down that it didn’t have meats here. It’s a venue for stage events, with noise curfew at 10pm
I went for the candlelight event at night time & the place looked great even at night. Definitely coming back to see the actual meat market.
Stunning building, beautiful old cobbled and pavers inside. If these walls could talk…! Very colorful checked historic past
Love this venue. Went to see El Matador here and the stage setup and intimate size was just perfect. Was pleasantly surprised walking in at how nice the interior of the venue was!
Love this location for productions. The food was not so great and the stadium seating a bit dodgy. The Matador show that we saw there was a spectacular.
My first visit here and enjoyed every minute. We saw the production Matador Experiencia in its final night. The cast were amazing, the costumes were perfect. The music and dancing was first class. Easily the best stage production I've seen in the last 5 years Bravo!
Excellent venue for a smaller, intimate conert. The sound of the piano and cello were great in this building. The lighting was great and the architecture made it a perfect experience to watch concerts by candlelight.
Great venue and great show. The only downside was that you couldn't see parts of the show from the premium seating. Feel cheated that we paid extra to miss parts of the show.
Loved how the original design and feel has been maintained and restored. Perfect environment for the Candlelight concerts. A beautiful restored Melbourne hidden treasure
Doesn’t look like much on the outside, but inside it’s great for a 200 plus event. I came here for a candlelight concert and was the perfect setting for this type of event. If you’re lucky, the parking outside is free after 6: 30pm. Only criticism I have are the toilets are a bit out of the way, and they don’t have a proper bar (they have a make shift bar as seen pic 5).
Came here for the Adele Candlelight EVER event. Stunning and Amazing. Love every moment of this
Loved it, went to watch The Goddesses.
A theatrical mythical journey of story telling that combines dramatic dance performances, outstanding vocals and thrilling acrobatics. Lovely venue and looking forward to the next show.
I visited the 'Zine fair there on a hot day out but cool in several ways inside. Cool to see all the earnest producers of independent content and cool temperature wise in the Old Meat Market now Art Space. Quite a lot of presenters waiting to engage about their passion/s. I found some very enjoyable individuals to chat with. A most enjoyable arvo
