Meat Flour Wine reviews
65Not bad. A bit overpriced for the food I actually got but other than that it was a good experience.
My family & I dined here in the outdoor courtyard last night & we had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and our waitress Jodie was so lovely & very attentive to our needs with 2 young boys. Jodie, thank you so much for being so wonderful.you are amazing at what you do!
Great staff, lovely environment, food to please. Catering was lovely and everything was done to ensure we enjoyed our meal.
Staff are lovely and attentive but not intrusive. Always love the care put into the dishes. Absolutely lovely and will come back again and again. Such a little gem for the area!
Came in on a weeknight for my birthday dinner after being here a few times in the past and we thought it was a local gem.
However, this time the whole experience felt like we were being rushed and the food underwhelming especially for the high price tag. Before we even had our drinks they were asking us if we wanted to order entrees.
When asking the server about the steaks they said they could not help as they didn't eat red meat. Its unfortunate because the menu actually says to ask about about the different cuts/types. It would have been nice if they got someone who could answer my questions.
Was disappointed when the mains came out as the steak was tough with the mushroom sauce having literally no mushrooms in it and my partners lamb was bland, overcooked, drowned in sauce and the truffle mash was lumpy.
For spending nearly $300 for 2 people we were very disappointed and not likely to return.
Had a 60th anniversary for my parents and the food and ambience of the place was fantastic. The service was second to none. Enjoyed it immensely.
Just ordered the rigatoni lamb ragu and spaghetti carbonara. I asked to add chicken and mushrooms to the carbonara. First they said yes then called me back to say they didn’t have any chicken. They said they can add the mushrooms but they’ll be on the side because they can’t put them in the same pan as the carbonara? I said don’t worry about the mushrooms. We opened out takeaway containers. The carbonara was just a lump of spaghetti no sauce and just dry pecorino cheese through it. Disgusting is a complement to this container of food. The rigatoni lamb ragu… well calling it lamb is a stretch… 2 very small pieces of lamb the size of a $1 coin was found in the container. It had NO flavour, nothing…. If you were blindfolded you would not know what is was. The 2 worst dishes we have EVER tasted. Would never order or eat here again. Sorry but it was shocking.
This place is a local for me. We went with friends on a whim and I believe the restaurant fit us in considering they were fully booked. It was great to see Melburnians socialising and putting money back into our economy. I ordered the beef carpaccio and the flavours were palate worthy. The pudding and lemon tart for dessert finished off a great evening with wonderful friends. I would visit again
Good venue. Food was just ok. Pizza was a bit ordinary and meat was bordering on rare and not medium rare. Service was excellent just the food wasnt great.
Had the most amazing experience at Meat Flour Wine, this was also my first experience and I will definitely be coming back and have started to spread the word.
The service was on point, food and drinks were delivered so quickly. The restaurant was a vibe it self. We had such an amazing time. The food and drink quality was amazing! I honestly could not fault them, will definitely be coming back!
Very unsuspecting when you arrive outside but this restaurant is extremely well finished inside, fantastic menu, service and nice steady flow of people coming through the doors. A1
Great staff, friendly service.
Outdoor area could use some acoustic work to reduce noise.
Food is good, although I feel it doesn't match the high pricing.
$10 for 10chips as a side!
The wine list would be better suited to Toorak, a more modest list would result in improved turnover and better match the current economy as we recover from the pandemic.
Big portions, delicious food and a lovely venue! Staff were very attentive and polite too. We had pizzas, risotto and wine/beers, and the food was out promptly despite it being very busy. Definitely book ahead as it gets very busy and there's limited parking nearby. Both indoor and outdoor seating available, and would definitely recommend.
This place is very popular for all that live in the south east area of melbourne. If you like a italian cooked meal then is the place for you. You may have to book a table it can get very busy.
Great service and a really good variety on their menu for both those that want steak and those that don't. Nice ambience and the courtyard is really nice on a warm day.
Great atmosphere and the food was very good but it needed to be considering the price of each meal was quite expensive in my opinion. Service was good and the food came out very quickly, a plus when you have a young child.
No kids menu which I believe to be quite the oversight considering I counted at least 6 or 7 families with young children including ours when we dined at MFW for dinner. Would be 4 to 5 stars if was a little cheaper and had a kids menu.
Delicious but they need to up their vegetarian game.the 'cauliflower steak' needs something a bit heartier, like some tofu steak or something to act as protein.it did feel like a very delicious side meal.
Had a lovely evening at Meat, flour, wine last night. The food, wine and the service were all sensational.
They had an outdoor undercover seating area. However dogs were not allowed in the outdoor area. Most pet unfriendly place.
Had their pizza. Could have been better. Minimal toppings. My toppings was just chucked on baked bread. Had to eat my pizza like a wrap.
