5 stars for the coffee - the best in this area so far. Unfortunately wasn‘t the service the best. A young woman who would not kill to smile or be friendly to customers.

Good service and reasonable prices. They very careful with allergies. And very good coffee

From the warm invite and helpful service to the unbelievably tasty coffee we were very pleased we found this gem of a spot. My wife had the crepes and I had eggs with salmon and Avo. Delicious, great portion and a breakkie we'll remember.

Had brunch here and the experience was very underwhelming. Coffee was scalding hot, and the side salad had old, yellow, spinach leaves. Staff didn't check on us during the meal. The lighting is crazy bright. This place used to be better, or maybe it was an off day.

Lovely cafe. The food is great and delicious. Coffee was nice, when you asked for water they fill up a bottle and it’s filtered and light sparkling. So good. I enjoyed the omelette with sujuk. Very lovely and filling.

Staff very friendly, no rush to leave once we had finished our lunch - very relaxing place to dine - put it on your list of places to eat.

The staff were polite and friendly, with great service. They were quick and helpful and the food was very fast.

The food quality was great. Both meals absolutely met my expectations and the coffee was good.

The atmosphere was nice. Quiet and easy to chat. Not to crowded and not loud.

Me and my wife enjoy the food but what brought us in was the coffee. We both had the big breakfast, crepe and latte. The food quality is superb and the quantity is great for the price. Sadly, didn't finish the food because did i mention the superb quantity but would definitely come back.

Stopped in to pick up a quick coffee and biscuit this morning. The server was too busy having a personal conversation to greet any other customers, and went straight back to her chat as soon as i ordered.didn't bother getting my biscuit until I asked again, and did it with attitude. The coffee was made quickly and had good flavour, unfortunately the service had left a sour taste in my mouth.

The food was absolutely terrible, the staff were distracted and were unhelpful with dietary requirements.
Not a good experience at all.

Parents are there at least three times per week for the past 12 months.
Wont be back after our visit yesterday.

Parents, Sisters, Partners and kids were there sitting on two joined table at the front. My partner and I arrived, tried to move an additional table to join. Told 'no, not if you're only having drinks' (by the young male waiter who is always there, and often serves us). Mind you, we had ordered three meals, 2 milk shakes, 2 iced coffees and 4 other drinks. We also only had three tables between 4 groups of people - parents, sister 1, sister 2 and myself.

Not sure what their point is- but we wont ever be getting even 'just drinks' there again.

Not that I am disappointed- i never liked it anyway.

Been coming here regularly, 2-3 times per week for over a year. Today at 1120am my family of 8 (5adults and 3 small children) visited for drinks and some of us were also EATING A LIGHT LUNCH. Soon after our arrival were joined by 2 more adults, where we were told by a regular male staff member that we were not permitted to join an empty table to our current table as we were only ordering drinks!? (not to mention he had taken our order)
Interesting business model going on here!

Stopped at Matte Black for lunch with friends.
Service was great and food was amazingly good and delicious.
Ordered Matt's Angus Burger, Moroccan Spice Chicken Salad and Grilled Fish. All food came out hot tasty, great variety of greens in the Moroccan salad dish the grilled fish was crispy on the outside and soft inside.

Not amazing. If a customer tells you there’s an issue, treat it with respect and fix the issue. No need to answer back.

Whether inside on a cold wintry day or out outside on a bright spring day this place never disappoints. Great service and the food is fab.

Incredibly welcoming - was just stopping for a quick breakfast before heading to the airport and almost justified missing my flight in leiu of staying here longer. The breakfast burger was insane, and the owner and the team were lovely. Cheers!

Every meal I've ever ordered here has been delicious. Staff are incredibly friendly and the service was great. Salmon is amazing and the Parma is great, you won't be let down with these!

First visit - Greats sausage rolls, coffees were okay, and muffin was.um.let's just say I'll not be getting the muffin again. Not a great first impression, but staff was lovely, and I'll definitely go back for more sausage rolls and give the coffee/barista a second chance.
