I came to Mary Eats Cake on a Thursday in a group of six. The whole table was really impressed with our experience. The food and drinks were fantastic, the vegetarian and the seafood allergy were catered to with no problems at all. The service was prompt, and polite, and our bottomless drinks were never left empty, which we truly appreciated. Would definitely recommend and look forward to coming back soon

Had a lovely Fancy High Tea for 4 at the Brunswick Venue today, having previously been to the Montrose venue. The food was delicious and staff friendly, attentive and efficient. Thanks everyone.
However, we were told at the start of service that drinks were included in the package. Had to pay for my mocktail though. Disappointing end to an otherwise lovely couple of hours

Everyone was impressed by the beautiful cake. Ordered online and delivered without any stress at all.

Was a delicious high tea with great savoury and sweet options. The unlimited scones were so soft and yummy! All the staff were very friendly and I will be recommending Mary Eats Cake to my friends and family!

One of my longest friends and I attended High Tea to celebrate our birthdays (6 days apart) and felt like royalty from the moment we arrived. The service provided to us by Parla and Johnathan was amazing. The scones were delicious.

A very happy baby shower was had at Mary Eats Cake in Brunswick. All contact to arrange the event was friendly and professional. The food on the day was yummy and plentiful. Those with certain dietry requirements as pre arranged, were satisfied and correctly served. I'm glad we hired out the main tea room downstairs as it made the occasion personal. Thanks Mary and staff.

I wish I took photos of the beautiful food from Mary Eats Cake that I had delivered for a birthday "nibbles" dinner. I ordered Mary's Scone Box, the Savoury Catering Box and Mary's Decadent Chocolate Cake. All arrived beautifully presented, delicious and very quickly disappeared once served. Heating instructions for the savoury bites were easy to follow. The vegemite cheese macaroni croquette, trio mushroom arancini and chicken parmagini were favourites, and the scones were the best tasting ones in Victoria according to the scone expert at home. Thank you for accommodating changes to the savoury box for the vegetarians and for the quick, responsive service. Highly recommend and will order again!

Went for a friends birthday and had a lovely time. Started with a glass of bubbles and the food just kept coming. Wonderfully delicious savoury offerings including sweet potato quiche and sliders. Some of the sweet treats were a cannoli and opera cake but the stand out had to be the scones. Light, fluffy and warm topped with jam and fresh cream. More bubbles were offered or choice of teas or coffees. Great friendly service and lovely ambience.

Beautiful venue, lovely staff. Lovely presentation of food. For the price I would have loved some savoury hot food.

1st time here. Food was delicious as was the sparkling wine and teas. Will definitely return. Highly recommend

I did an online order of high tea for my mum's birthday at home and it exceeded expectations. Not only were the staff helpful and friendly when I picked it all up, but the food was beautiful and the sizing was super generous.
Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to do a high tea at home.

I was lucky enough to be gifted a stunning high tea box delivery and I can’t recommend this enough as a concept. The scrumptious feast was so enjoyable, not only visually stunning but utterly delectable, that it well and truly brightened my weekend. My only complaint is they can’t sub an item for a dietary so if there is one item in there that you can’t eat you will get eg the vegetarian box instead

I had my bridal shower at Mary Eats Cake on Sunday and I could not have dreamed of a more perfect event. The staff were outstandingly lovely and the food was absolutely exceptional. As someone who considers themselves a high tea connoisseur this was the epitome of exquisite deliciousness. We had taken up the alcoholic bridal bliss package with flower crown making and it all ran seamlessly.

We sipped delightful coconut tea from beautiful vintage tea ware and stuffed ourselves with yummy unlimited scones accompanied by our choice of either an espresso martini or fruity vodka based cocktail.

The desserts were truly outstanding and we were told the owners had been travelling Europe for pastry inspiration. As a seasoned consumer of high tea they are hands down the best sweets I’ve seen on a three tier stand. I was utterly obsessed with the lavender lemon and chocolate cake pop. Such a unique little number and unbelievably tasty. The mango sherbet cheesecake was also amazing.

We opted for the seasonal rather than the traditional menu and I’m still applauding myself on such a well made choice, the macaron with rose jelly and lychee cream was just sensational. We were so ridiculously full of all the amazing creations (all made in house) there was barely room for the gorgeous looking cheese and fruit platter but I couldn’t possibly leave it untouched.

I am also legitimately still dreaming of the lemon tart I pilfered from my friends vegetarian stand. I can’t even describe how much you simply must drop everything and get yourself down here. It’s the insanely brilliant new standard for high tea

Celebrated my mums birthday with a lovely high tea. We were very impressed with the food and friendly service. We chose the “fancy package” it included a fruit & cheese platter, a variety of savoury and sweet, and the unlimited lemon scones – absolutely delicious!

Took my mum here as a Christmas present. The food was (as always) amazing - Mum had the vegan as she can't have cheese and, as a non-vegan, she was very impressed with the quality. The service really stood out - we had a few waitresses, I think one was called Molly and I don't remember the names of the others. Despite being tucked away in a room, they were constantly circling through, coming up to check if we needed anything (more scones, different type of tea etc.), and it really made it a special occasion.

Furthermore, despite it being 38C, temperature in the upstairs room was very comfortable, which I had been a little concerned about, so that was a real relief.

Mary Eats Montrose provide good service and the service is always commendable. The one in Brunswick needs a bit more work.

Had the most amazing morning taking my mother for a high tea experience at Mary Eats Cake. I wanted to spoil her for visiting and helping us out for 6 weeks as we have no family here. The food was absolutely delicious, the staff were accommodating and friendly and we even got sent home with some left over scones. I’ve done this before and I will definitely do it again x
