Market Lane Coffee - Collins St reviews
55 Great coffee, quick and polite service
Only one size of coffee and limited alternative milk selection.
Offers a selection of unique pour over filter coffee if you are willing to wait for it to brew.
Can recommend for a cute date or a morning coffee.
A staple cafe in the Paris-end of Collins Street.
Really glad that it now offers oat milk for all of us non-dairy drinkers!
Staff are very friendly and accomodating.
If you're lucky enough to pop in during a quiet period, there's some indoor seating for you to sit and enjoy your coffee, pastry and "The Big Issue" magazine (which you can purchase from a friendly, nearby vendor).
What a great place. Went to find another coffee shop but it was closed. Decided to try Market Lane, what a good decision. Great service & the best coffee for a long time. Highly recommended.
Sat in this morning at the Collins St branch and aside from the amazing coffee the service was superb - after overhearing us talking about how you could really taste the fruity notes in our longboard blacks, the woman came over and gave us a free sample of another coffee - so thoughtful!
One of the institutions in Coffee culture of Melbourne. If you like pour over or any form of filter coffee, this is the place to be!
Lovely coffee shop in Melbourne CBD. The staff are really friendly and the cup of tea and Croissant I had were delicious. The staff give you a complimentary glass of sparking water. There are tables inside or outside the cafe to enjoy your drinks and food. I will definitely be back next time I visit the city.
No hot chocolate? Little disappointed that they don't have more of an offering, given the traffic that goes past.
One of the best coffee shops chains in the world. I was allowed the pleasure of visiting back on Saturday, 14 July 2012.
Due to the heavily delay of Auspost my beans arrived 3 weeks later but Market Lane send me another bag immediately even it’s not their fault, will definitely support them
The coffee tasted sour and not suitable with the milk base coffee, there are not many milk options compare to other cafes in Melbourne. It’s disappointing.
The staff were friendly. Nice coffee, fast service Best for takeaway - everyone loves the printed cups!
This is consistently my favourite coffee shop in Melbourne. Every single coffee is made with absolute care and attention to detail, and I have never been disappointed.
When I am back home in NSW, I order their beans for delivery. The customer service from their mail order team is second to none, and I love the hand written cards that appear in each delivery.
Highly recommended.
Nice little place at the top of Collins st. Lovely ambient music playing as I entered. One is given complimentary glass of sparkling water with their coffee, always an impressive touch. My coffee was silky strong and utterly quite faultless and gorgeous.
Service was quiet warm and lovely. I’ll return for sure.
The best little cafe in Melbourne's CBD. I'm always greeted with friendly faces and a beautiful cup of coffee every time. The manager, Holly, has created a cosy yet sophisticated atmosphere that feels inclusive for everyone. I am always happy to make the trek from lower Bourke Street just to get my ML hit for the day.
What kind of coffee shop don’t have soy milk? And the latte is a total disaster compare to any other coffee shop in Melbourne. For the sake of god, market lane pls take back your brand before they ruin it.
Nice place to have a break
Cascara TEA is amazing (Tastes like fresh plum, white peach, dried apricot, lemon and honey). Friendly staff with a relaxing atmosphere
Best coffee I've had in years! It's hard to get a good coffee from SE suburbs. I had to travel to Collins St for an appointment, and I popped into this quaint little store. The coffee was smooth and rich, but didn't leave a bitter taste. Absolute Perfection!
Upadated 26/10
Market lane got in touch with me and the service was great. I still don't like the coffee nor would I buy it again, but their response was polite and quick, overall great service.

Got a bag of coffee for home, we usually buy from Mciver's but it was to early and they were closed. I told the attendant they type of coffe I wanted and that it was for a French press. He gave me superthick coffee so it wouldn't work in the press and it was so pale and dull, also quite expensive at 22 for 250gr.
Crusty fresh croissants and great coffee with cozy atmosphere. Nice cafe to get your daily coffee!
One of the best coffee I had in Melbourne. Especially this branch of Market lane. The building it self is magnificent
