Excellent. Such beautiful fresh Chinese. Took partner for a lunch date. Tasty home made rissoles made the old fashioned way. 2 very happy customers. We will be back. Great service.

Love this place for a family meal. Andy is the best publican around. He has owned this pub since 1986! Awesome bar staff. So friendly!

Not happy with my takeaway, fisherman's basket, cold soggy chips, menu said scallops not one in the bag, everything over cooked little piece of fish that tasted like egg no fish taste at all!

The best Chinese and Australian food service in Ballarat. We will be going back there in the next few weeks. Compliments to the Chef and the friendliest Staff we have met in a very long time.

Had Xmas lunch @ $70 each. Supposedly 3 course but weren't shown where or what it was. Meat and vegetables were in water. All salads were creamy except the garden salad.that had no dressing. No atmosphere, hot, and someone came from the kitchen area with no shoes or socks on.

Awesome! Low prices, big servings, basic salad bar and hot veggies. Not a flash restaurant but a great place for a yummy, filling, inexpensive feed.

As long as you stick to the Asian style, you'll be fine, dont touch the Aussie food unless you wanna diiiiieee

First time I have been to Market Hotel for lunch.good menu. My meal didn't have much flavour but I will go back for another try.

The service was fast and the quantity of food was generous. I can't rate this place above three stars as the food was lacking in taste. We were disappointed.

Good cheap tasty meals well worth the price, the owner sitting at the cash register looking af all guests can be very off putting though

Good tasty with a extensive east meets west menu. Catering for family and workers this old pub bistro is pretty good for cheap sit down in and out food, small salad bar but nicely prepared and nice staff always working, serving, cleaning, well worth a drop in and try a pretty good meal if your worms are biting!

Incredibly disappointing, my Parma was burnt and dry. Others had the Chinese and apparently it was good. If you don’t know how to cook something, Don’t Sell It!

Stay away if your a Parma lover

Messed up my order twice, first time cooked my steak blue and the second time it was microwaved and had the taste of boot leather.
Everyone in my party had something to complain about their meal and no one enjoyed it.

Had many meals at the Market Hotel over last few years. Always been satisfied with meals and service and prices are very reasonable too.

Working man's pub opposite sale yards. Popular for lunch with either Chinese or Australian menu's. Cheap food

First time I have ordered from Market hotel delivered on time, hot and delicious food. Will definitely be a repeat customer.
