Nice cafe on Main St, great for coffee. Table service pretty slow especially when sitting outside. Mostly Mexi inspired dishes, food is OK, a little bland. Vegan options available.

We had a booking for sunday, as we walked in none of the staff greeted us back, as we waited to be seated and were totally ignored for another few minutes, we decided to leave.and spent our money somewhere else

It's all the staples of a good CBD cafe in an area that can be pretty hit-or-miss with cafe fare! The prices weren't bad, either.

Came all the way from Narre Warren to here for Maria and the almost 40 minutes wait on a busy Sunday morning seems justified and the coffee beans they use is superb and the breakfast burger as well as the burrito are all well delivered. Forgot to take photos as I was super hungry

Nice little Cafe. Had the special soft shell crab burger. It was ok. I was expecting a lot more punch especially with the kimchi.

For the first time in our lives my wife and I experienced an unhealthy dose of descrimination at Maria Cafe Upwey. No proof of medical procedure means you will not even be allowed to sit at an outside table. It's neither friendly nor welcoming.

This morning my 3.5yo granddaughter and I had the most wonderful brunch experience at Maria. Miss 3.5yo needs dairy and soy free food and drink and the staff could not have been more accommodating in organising our food to suit her dietary requirements. They treated my little darling like she was the most important patron, even though there were many other people to look after. What a positive experience and fabulous food and coffee. Thank you for the attention to detail and making us feel so valued. Highly recommended

Stopped by here for brekky, I appreciated the kind service! The food was nice and their coffee is well brewed. The beans had a fruity note, even as a strong latte.

Sorry guys and gal's at Maria.the place looks lovely and I've visited on a busy Thursday lunchtime but I was ignored by 3 staff members while waiting patiently directly at the cash reg.one barista acknowledged me but didn't ask any other staff to assist. Three groups proceed to pay before I was spoken to (very politely) by the cashier.

Just came to this cafe for the first time as we were up this way to visit sherbrooke falls. Such a good menu that has plenty of options for us vegetarians. The pear and rhubarb baked porridge oats were absolutely tremendous. Lovely coffee too. We will definitely do the hour drive again just to visit this cafe. Best breakfast we have had in a long time. 10/10

Ordered takeaway from their dinner menu and it was really fantastic! Great tasty vegan options too, quick and great variety.highly recommended!

I've had so many good experiences at this cafe, the two guys do an awesome job of making coffee and are always very courteous! I've honestly had some of the best coffee ever at this cafe.
However, every single time I have been served by one of the ladies here, they have an awful attitude and frankly make terrible coffee. They need to be retrained on how to do every single aspect of their job, or just don't work in customer service! Oh that's right, you should be grateful to even have a job at the moment. You're letting the team down ladies, very disappointing.

Delicious food. I ordered the waffles which were amazing, but the prana chai would be better if it was served so you can pour it yourself. Can't wait to go back.

Simply a great range of excellent food served excellently by friendly staff who make one feel at home. All encouraged and aided by an owner who is passionate about his business. To me that is just a formula for success!

Ripper. Now we have a great breakfast and coffee offer to complement Tin Pan Alley, The Fat goat and digging for fire. Well done Maria this is exactly what upwey needed. Big tick.

Disappointed Food Size: $19 for a small burger; pathetic! And then a average coffee. Dessert was a Highlight And Page the waiter was simply incredible! A Nice Clean Modern Space but that's about it.

Love this cafe, it's my new cafe of choice. You won't find food like this anywhere else and the price is more than reasonable. Great dining area nice place to eat

I had a delicious apple walnut muffin with loads of cinnamon, poached apple and nuts - didn’t know muffins could be this delicious. Their smoothie is delicious too - made with almond milk!
