Many Hands Winery reviews
73Staff was extremely disrespectful! I attended this venue with a group of girls for a birthday and we told to "shut up" by the owner. This was uncalled for as we were just trying to catch up with friends. The unprofessionalism from the way she spoke to the birthday girl was so upsetting and made us all feel so uncomfortable.
Many hands but no brains. Poor service, left us standing there for 10 minutes and then made us feel very unwelcome when we were eventually acknowledged at the door
An excellent restaurant. The service was terrific, the menu was extensive and appropriate for a vineyard restaurant (and not at all expensive). Pay them a visit, you'll enjoy it!
After an exhausting activity, we were hungry for anything! I thought the pizza was fairly decent though the crust is a little on the thicker end. A member of our group had a base that was quite a bit more burnt than the rest of us so she didn't finish it completely. It definitely feels on the heavier side due to the amount of dough as well. We came in just for the pizza as a quick meal, but the general vibe or expectation is to have a main, a drink, and a dessert. Customer service was fine but there was a bit of a wait to pay for the meal (not sure if it's just the one person who can put it through?) Good check in process for covid, though. We were also a walk in and they were able to sit us quickly.
Best gnocchi ever tasted! Authentic Italian food. Garlic pizza amazing too. Staff friendly. Easy parking. Prices reasonable. Definitely worth trying!
Pizza and cheese tasting board were delicious but we felt that customer service let the place down.
Enjoyed a terrific afternoon here celebrating my brothers 50th birthday.
The food was AMAZING - garlic prawns were divine - the gnocchi - just WOW. So fresh & soft with superb flavours.
Lovely views, relaxed atmosphere, delicious wine - what more could you ask for. Thanks Jenny xx
Enjoyable lunch with good food & wine, good view and great staff. Good value. Highly recommend.
Friendly and warm service. Amazing pizza and the best gnocchi I’ve ever had! Will definitely wine and dine here again. Thanks for having us!
Pizza really nice. Garlic prawn uugghhh everyone will love it. The last part is tiramisu, I love it! The view also beautiful. Good place, foods, vibes and not pricy (important things) hahahhaa
Incredible antipasto, woodfired pizza and desserts. Very good wines and a great location with a view of Warramate Hills
We spent a weekend at the Yarra valley and Many Hands was our last stop, what a way to end! The 2015 & 2016 Chardonnay was incredible and lunch left us all speechless. We will be back again asap - Thank you Jenny, Tony and team:)
Disgusting customer service, the staff was really rude and said they have nothing to serve. Would never come back
Parking difficult. Food and wine came promptly but after that no service. Enjoyed pizza although crusts not quite cooked. Too thick! Enjoyed wine. Not a must do but good.
Firstly, let's talk about the wine. This is the first winery I have visited where I enjoyed every wine I tasted. Even the Chardonnay's, which I usually am not a fan of were delicious. Tony, the owner, who conducted our tasting, was obviously extremely passionate and knowledgable, and very amiable. This really shows in the wines they produce here. Very high quality.
The food was also delicious. We had a Margherita pizza and the blue cheese and pumpkin gnocchi. Both of which were absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend coming here.
What a great find. Amazing cheerful and friendly hosts Tony & Jenny and ditto for staff. The food is home made and a wonderful Italian taste. The Al Fresco terrace is shaded, a cool breeze and road noise not too bad. Highly recommended
Not enough parking available so one is reduced to using the road. The noise hits you the second you walk into the restaurant - absolutely deafening! It’s called acoustics!
If wineries like Many Hands are going to offer cellar door tastings, at least have the commonsense to create a separate zone away from diners - 12 young tipsy people yelling at the top of their voice amongst the din of service was definitely not a good recipe for having a conversation at lunchtime with your fellow diners, so we went outside.
The staff are friendly and that is a plus.
I ordered the smoked trout salad - at $31, I was expecting a little more expertise in the execution of arranging it - the chef hadn’t checked for the large bones - so I had to carry out explorative surgery in order to make it safe to eat, the fillet of trout was just plonked onto the plate and a large but uninteresting group of lettuce leaves drenched in vinegar accompanied it with the addition of 3 black olives and one small tomato cut in half.
My fellow diners weren’t that much more impressed with their meals - but this review is long enough.
Certainly won’t be recommending.
Sorry fr one.star.but.
Entrees didnt get to us.
Mains came out at different times.
Pizzas way to oily.my sons tomato and cheese.swimming in oil.
5 gnocchis for a main not enough.
Desserts way overpriced for what we recieved.
Spent over $400.hoped for better.
Terrible service. Of three glasses, one chipped and one dirty. Empty tables inside but asked to sit outside. Moved inside when it got too cold, although they didn't set the table. We had to find our own forks and ask for water!
Food took 40 mins to arrive even though restaurant was half full. My favourite bit was cold, stale garlic bread offered for free when my partner complained: D When the Pizzas finally arrived, they were OK.
Wines were pretty good, but tasting is in restaurant space so very noisy at lunch time.
Suberb quality wines and food. Try the Spagetti Marinara and Tiramiso with the 2017 Chardonnay for a great tasting, freshly made meal that you will truly enjoy.
