Mansfield Visitor Information Centre reviews
37Very obvious racism! The lady there treated us very rudely when we asked for help. She kept putting massive physical distance between us and her, gave little to no information to us. But when other customers asked for help, she jumped on and helped out enthusiastically. Very disappointed.
We arrived in a down pour of rain after going through the carriages. We meet a lovely volunteer lady who knew friends of ours back home. It was lovely to chat and buy some tea towels. Quaint little town.
Awesome place for tourists going to Mt Buller as this park has the rides for children to enjoy plus the person can have their lunch and the market is just few steps away from the park
Tried to get the refund for the pass we bought, but wasn't able to get it. They sold the ticket, but didn't tell me that it was going to close soon. $90 bucks gone on bin.
Some great info onhand and staffed by volunteers with some great local knowledge. Worth stopping for a look and exploring the old rail line.
Well located right on highway, at the very start of down with ample open parking - a bit isolated though
The staff was warm but did not have much to help with buses to Mt. Buller n back. Though they assured of safety for our car parked till we returned.
Excellent place for any information you require for the area. Good display of art and memorabilia and a terrific wall mural.
Wonderfully helpful for our adventures, all maps available and up to date conditions to help with our trip.
Colleen on the desk was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and generous with her time. Our travels in the local area were excellent as a result.
Thank you so much!
Very helpful, full of great advice ans local knowledge. Saved us a heap of time on our short trip.
Lady was helpful until she refused to take $4 cash for a map we wanted to buy. When questioned as to why she wouldn't take cash, only eftpos she couldn't answer us and became quite grumpy. Cash is king! The info centre is great though.
We got very detailed information for our trip, with up to date road closures. And they stayed open just past closing time for us! Thanks!
Lovely place to visit and very friendly staff. Lots of information about the area and further afield.
Friendly and very knowledgeable local staff. Were a great help on things to do around this area.
An Aboriginal art gallery has opened at the Information Centre featuring the works of Jack Macale. Beautiful art set in an intimate space. It will be a permanent feature with new exhibitions opening every few months. The staff at the centre are very friendly and helpful.
A new exhibition has been hung featuring Lockhart River Arts artists Evelyn Omenyo and Patrick Butcher Jnr. Evelyn is an elder "Old Girl" who also produces jewellery and baskets and Patrick is an esteemed "Art Gang" member. Both have an international standing.
The summer Exhibition features artists from the Nuukurr community from Eastern Arnhem Land.
Great facilities for a quick stop. Toilets. Rubbish bins. Also some nice strolling around in the train station and adjacent areas.
The staff really know the area, so drop in and get some valuable information. Whether it be sight seeing, fishing locations, art galleries, gnome walks or places to eat they have an extensive knowledge and are so friendly and helpful.
Lots of brochures for the local area and areas further away. A great display of The Man from Snowy River movies.
Lovely staff member, very thoughtful and happy to show the children interesting pieces of history.
