Mansfield Coffee Merchant.

Food good, big serve. Service lacking. Coffee at start forgotten, then only lukewarm. Meal forgotten, when others had theirs, (4 others). Offered free coffee as a result. Asked for a hot coffee this time, again only lukewarm and Unpleasant. Could do a lot better.

The staff here are exceptional. I was here twice a week apart. The kitchen staff are magicians and cook up the most delicious creations I’m only sorry I live 11 hours away and don’t get here often. Otherwise I would be here every chance I got. Oh and the coffee is incredible.

Have to change my review as i went there for breakfast and could not afford all the add ons. The service is great, they deliver my coffee to work for me.

Ordered 2 coffees 1 was a cappuccino but was a flat white, it took 25 minutes so didn't want to wait again, we also bought the only 2 cake choices, one was chocolate very dry but the other one was pistachsio, it was good.

Fantastic coffee and amazing food! And the service was phenomenal, a must if you like the best coffee and great food in Mansfield!

This is my absolute favourite place to eat out in Victoria. The atmosphere is incredible and their food/coffee is absolutely delicious. Would always recommend.

I searched for good coffee in Mansfield, landed here. Happy to report that the coffee is certainly up to standard. But the real (happy) surprise for us was the food. Upon ordering the food may seem a little on the pricey side, but wait until being served to make the judgement. We had a table of five meals, all were high quality with generous portion sizes. We were all pleasantly surprised with the flavour and presentation. I highly recommend a stop here.

I’ve been ordering my decaf coffee from MCM for a few years now and they are just the best. (So is their decaf!) if I make a mistake on my order they help out, no questions asked, nothing is too much trouble. Best team ever! Highly recommend!

Pretty average service. Staff not friendly. However, on Wed they only do takeaway stuff with no cooked meals. Previous visits have been much better

Went to go here for lunch with a friend, was fairly quiet, lots of tables free, we just wanted to have a few drinks and a toasted sandwiches.

We had ordered our drinks but when we went to order our sandwiches we were told no as they were only for take away.

I understand if it is a peak time or the weekend, but to refuse pre made food from the cabinet when there are many free tables and staff standing around does not make any sense. As well as we would’ve easily spent a minimum of $40-50 between the two of us just on drinks.

Any money is good money during times like these. And to turn away paying customers honestly is crazy.

Will not be returning, if I was the owner I definitely would be considering changing this “rule” as I’ve seen multiple unhappy with reviews and never heard of this at a cafe before. Instead of writing defensive responses to these reviews, maybe take it as constructive criticism.

I am updating my review for Mansfield Coffee Merchant from 1 star to 5 stars. The service and quality has definitely improved big time and I don't see rude staff anymore.

Staff were a bit rude, complaining about us clearing a table to sit at, then took a while to serve us, didn't offer cakes with coffees.

Their coffee is on the expensive side though when you compare against Melbourne cbd rates. However, it is quite good and was refreshing after a long day playing at Mount buller.

Great customer service, good menu and the food was great! Cafe was clean and had a great "vibe". Would definitely return next trip.

A local who hadn't been to this cafe before. Coffee was good, but all I wanted for lunch was to sit down with a coffee and a toastie - which they had prepared in their display cabinet at the counter - and relax for 30 minutes. But no. Toasties are available only for take away apparently - even though there's nothing at the counter to indicate that.

We live in a world of rules at the moment, and many of them are for good reason. But rules just for the sake of it are just petty. Was it really that hard to provide me with a toastie?
