MANIAX Axe Throwing - MELBOURNE CBD

Selina was amazing with our private. We went to maniax CBD for a bucks night and the fun and laughs never stopped, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our weird requests and laughs. We had axe throwing, mini games, we even met a random hens and they helped set up a throw off between bride and groom. The team was exceptional. The manager and bar staff were also just phenomenal, all the way down to letting me do a checking dance and drink for the groom haha. This was an amazing barrel of laughs all night. Thank you so much, will definately be back soon.

Staff were super helpful & put me at ease due to being a little nervous. A lot harder than it looks so don’t rock up expecting to be an expert but once you get the hang of it- super fun & great to play against friends. They have a 2 for 1 deal on a Monday which I highly recommend.

This place is definitely mad fun, but it ain’t perfect tho….

The good
You get to throw effin axes at a wall and pretend all Viking. I could hear my ancestors singing while I was hitting a bulls eye. The instructor was a very helpful and very friendly lady. Even on a busy day, while understaffed, she made sure to come to each lane and give us some extra help with our
The venue is reasonably clean and easy to find coz it’s right at Elizabeth st.

The not so good
Three of us were cramped into a single lane and I have a feeling if my fourth friend also made a booking, all 4 of us would be sharing that tiny lane (there were other lanes free on the other side of the venue). My tip, walk in separately so you get your own lanes
The smaller axe was not sharp but the bigger one was (ya I’m just nitpicking here)
The bar was unattended so couldn’t get no drinks afterwards

Had a brilliant time.very satisfying! Lol Our host was the best, couldn’t have made things more simpler, some good tips given!

An absolute fun time had by all regardless of sporting ability. The staff were spot on with advise which ensured everyone was landing the axe into the target. Perfect activity for the Xmas work activity, lots of laughs and cheers

Alot of fun, a safety brief and demonstration is provided and each allocated throwing lane is safe and staff are available as needed.

We came here for a bucks party and had the best time! We were hosted by Alan who did a great job on keeping things running smoothly while encouraging a good competition! Will be comming here again! Thanks guys

We had so much fun! Turned up thinking an hour would be too long but the time flew by as we were having so much fun.

We got the date night deal with pizza and a drink, I would recommend avoiding the food as the pizza crust was rock solid and I had a bad stomach later that evening.

I noticed a concerning amount of cockroach traps on the same floor as the kitchen, if I had seen them initially I certainly wouldn’t have ordered any food here.

If you avoid the food you should be in for a good experience!

Lachlan delt with me and straight away threw the axes and got bullseyes. I knew straight away that you guys don’t just hire nobody’s and know what youse are doing. Showed us all the tricks and even got a bulleye myself (with the little axe)

OMG What an experience. Went there with my partner for the first time. He was definitely excited and for some reason I was not really looking forward to it as it didn’t look that safe to me. Yes they had it all covered but been thinking they need to have the entrance covered too (what if the axe slips from the hand and falls back, not everyone will be good with axe).

Once, we started playing it was much more fun than I thought. They have bar inside and snacks too. Service was friendly. Easy excess to public transportation.

Defiantly worth trying.

My son had his bucks party at Maniax and we had a fantastic time! Staff went above and beyond to look after us and Lachlan was a hoot!

At 1st, I tried to book 15 minutes, thinking I would be bored quickly, but an hour later was still loving it. The guys were great with a quick safety and how to chat and off we went.

Had a wonderful experience for a work Christmas party. The gentleman who taught us and hosted was amazing and knowledgeable and good fun.

Was an ok experience, felt for nearly $50 wasn't really worth it. Literally throw an axe at the board with targets. Also had a booking with 4 people, you only get two lanes so 2 people will go, 2 people will sit around doing nothing. So give us an 1 hour, half of that time did nothing.

Fantastic experience. So much fun. We booked the 1 hour quicn throw for 2 of usa and it was enough. Great fun in general something different and cool to do.

Amazing customer service! I went last year and was nervous about the experience but the staff were so welcoming. Very warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff gave very clear instructions and tips. Loved that there were different sized axes for added difficulty.

We booked a Hens night here and it was easily one of the best decisions we made. The staff were so amazing, excellent customer service and we had a blast!

A lot more fun than I expected.
There's lots to learn about technique.
Great for competing with friends using the different size axes.
Convenient nearby parking was $15. Not that I'd ever recommend driving in.

I recently visited this establishment and had a very enjoyable time. I was impressed with Lachlan, top service. Looking forward to visiting again.
