Mad Mex reviews
51This place is a full average, just too expensive for the taste, I just go there because I have no time
One time rice was barely cooked.
I went back couple of more times.
A meal deal they had changed in this occasion, woman didnt explain why just greased me off.that evening (monday) the 2 female staff were very rude. Were talking about me in front of me and laughing at me as I walked away and kept looking at me while my family and I were eating.were also talking in foreign language to each other and sharing looks while still serving me!
Food was average, tasted dry.lots of lettuce, tiniest bits of other ingredients
Flash forward to next morning, I got severe food poisoning, could barely walk.
Not going back
The girl who worked here on Friday May 11th was so unhelpful, She was rude, sassy, and has no clue what service is. I asked for her name and she wouldnt give it to me. I then tried to call them on the phone and no one ever picked up.
I generally go to the Chadstone one everyday on my lunch break but recently have shifted to Clarendon st So was excited to try this one.
Firstly - no beef because they cant get it from there suppliers: okay go to Coles then and buy some?
Secondly - I always say small amount of sour cream & generally get a small amount: after watching him put two LARGE spoons I said please stop I said a little bit and he rolled his eyes: not apologies for stuffing up
Thirdly - the man who served me and the other lady looked at me 20 times while I was eating; if you’re going to stare at least smile AT YOUR CUSTOMER. NOT MAKE THEM FEEL UNWANTED.
Food was just amazing, very well cooked and staff is very friendly. If you going to a mexican place first time this is the one
Came here on enchilada night to try out the new range.
Pretty average and it's quite a stretch to call them enchiladas. They aren't toasted or grilled so basically it's 3 soft shell tacos with a lot of sauce slapped on top along with some beans and brown rice.
Tasted alright, for a quick meal it is ok.
It's a good restaurant - good value and nice staff. The only downside is the loud music. Sometimes it's too loud.
Fast and somewhat affordable. Zambrero is similar with profits going to charity, so would consider that instead.
Yeah, not great. Not real Mexican, not TexMex. It's a sort of quasi-hipster interpretation of Mexican. Food isn't too bad, but service is slow. The "cheese" here is nasty though. Avoid.
Nice place, good outdoor heating, good food, decent enough prices an yeah, GREAT STAFF!
LOVE THE BURRITO!
Especially the part where you get to pick what you want inside it, however the guacamole and the spicy sausage (forgot the name) could be cheaper instead of $2, maybe $1.5. Small difference big outcome.
You can choose what you want to include in the burrito. And the burrito is full of ingredients inside.
