A lot of great product on sale with exceptionally helpful staff, especially Ebony who went to a lot of trouble making sure we bought correct size and appropriate gear.
They are the old Ray's outdoors just name change.
I still think Ray's had more camping gear and now they catter more for outdoor clothing. I haven't got anything from Macpac. But when it was Ray's outdoors i got heeps and the staff in Brighton and Preston store's are amazing.
Occasionally you go into a store & the service is exceptional.
I bought a pack & the staff took the time to adjust it to make sure it fitted properly. Getting a pack adjusted properly is difference between pleasure & misery on a long walk.
I tried to get some shoes but they didnt have my size in stock. They took the time to search online to find a retailer who did.
After a heart attack I was a tad nervous about hiking but with a well adjusted pack all was fine. The middle aged guy who served me was great
I love that Rays is now Macpac - nothing like a gorgeous new puffy for winter. Friendly staff and great choices
