MacKenzie Falls reviews
51I had hurt my back a couple of days prior, and was pleasantly surprised that the walk to the falls was not very hard at all. A pretty spot and the falls were a good height and style to get some great photos.
Plenty of water flowing currently from lake wartook. Cooler weather means no crowds.no one swimming illegally in the lower pools.great photo opportunities!
Start your walk from the historical centre. It rambles gently uphill so the trek back is downhill! The other end involves lots of steps.
It's a waterfall, good stepped walk down and good exercise getting back up. If you walk along the river further you come to fish falls, it's a nice walk Todo and not too far there and back with kids.
Exelent the walk down to the falls was worth it spectacular the walk back up however was hard going but we still made it
The falls itself, are amazing, up there with some of the best I've seen.
We went over the long weekend so lots of people but not crazy busy.
When walking down the stairs towards the falls, you really get a feel of how steep the decent is.
The walk back up was horrible, don't make the mistake we did and forget water, I almost passed out half way back up. It was a struggle and would be difficult for the elderly.
Its unfortunate that it is not wheelchair accessible.
Worth the walk/hike though.
Mackenzie Falls is iconic spot to visit in Grampian region. Waterfall is quite a walk away from car park, so for kids and elderly people it will be quite hard. Could be slippery in wet conditions but worth visiting.
If you love nature everything is beautiful its a bit steep to reach till the bottom of the falls, just be careful with that and you'll surely enjoy the rest
The waterfall performed perfectly while I was there. A shame about the class of people tourism attracts with rubbish being left on paths and the bush being used as a toilet. Waterfalls are good, people can be disgusting.
Beautiful. Walk in from Zumsteins to make it a great afternoon. It's the best way to see the falls and the valley asking the way.
