Chicken Biryani i ate is one of the worst biryanis i have ever tasted, it tasted super sweet when i ordered spicy biryani, it didnt seem anywhere close to authentic indian biryani.and also prices are slightly higher than other indian restuarents. But Good Customer Service. If you are going for biryani then a Big NO NO.

One of the best restaurants in Eltham. We go there regularly and always enjoy our meals. The service is excellent. I can't fault it except for the decoration. It could be improved by modernising it a bit. I think this will really benefit the place and I'm sure will attract even more customers, specially young people.

Lovely calm, restful atmosphere, delightful to bring guests to. Dishes are distinct in flavour, seafood magnificent.

It’s a hidden gem of an Indian restaurant in Eltham. I am an Indian and the first bite at this place, felt like I was back in my country. We had fish and chicken both were amazing. Not one of those namesake Indian restaurants in Melbourne. Definitely worth a visit. For the magic of chef, the good staff and the best part is the customer service from the owner, you will love the place.

Loved the ambience, service was good too. However, would say the taste factor was much below expectations. Biryani was way below average and so was other non vegetarian dishes. Vegetarian dishes were all right. I would recommend more focus on the authentic taste of food.

Good food, good ambience! The chicken khurchan and lachha paratha was well done. I've been to a few other Indian restaurants in the area and they were disappointing. However, Machan is good and deserves the positive feedback!

The only place in Melbourne I will eat Indian food. The owner is a lovely gentleman who is great with everyone who walks into his restaurant. The food is awesome, can't speak highly enough of it.

Best indian food ever! We have been going here for years. My favourite is the chicken saagwala and beef vindaloo.

Lovely decor, good food (especially the tandoori) with great quality meat and good service.

Had an issue with a gift card which they happily fixed up for us.
