Machan Indian Restaurant

We spent our Valentine's day in Machan and the owner was a very friendly person gave all the dinners a big lindth chocolate. The chicken tikka masala was very nice, but the chicken biryani could be much better if the rice had been cooked longer and became softer and had more spices. By the way will try more dishes there in the future. Thanks

Everything about our dining experience was excellent. The food was delicious, the owner is a real character & the staff are amazing. We were recommended to come here & we weren’t disappointed.

Placed a large takeaway order to cater a birthday party. The consensus was how delicious the food was and most people went back for 2nd and 3rd helpings. The dishes that received the most compliments were the Dhal Makhani, Chicken Khurchan, Tandoori Chicken and garlic Naan bread. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. I have also dined in previously and service is always impeccable. I highly recommend! Outside of India it is some of the best Indian food I've had, the food really does speak for itself!

Gave us a spicy curry when we specifically requested not spicy/hot, forgot mango chutney with order. "Saffron" rice is bland and not flavourful at all.

I'm in love with this restaurant. I went there twice in 2 weeks. I love it more now. Especially the owner is very humble and witty. He made us very comfortable and homely there. I never enjoyed myself in a restaurant this much in a long time.
Would highly highly recommend it to all the indians who love to try new spicy and tangy flavours even in a simple dish.
You wouldn't regret it for sure.

Chicken Kurchan 3/5 - Doesn't give that chef special feel.

Paneer Makhani 2/5 - Too sweet for medium spicy.

Dal Makhani 1/5 - Was nowhere near a real Dal Makhani and tasted awful.

Absolutely amazing service and food! Fresh and authentic indian! Very accommodating when it comes to dietary requirements my wife is lactose, gluten and fodmap (no garlic no onion) they were happy to help. My wife loves the dishes. The owner him self was patient and accepting of our requirements, he and the chef made something my could eat as other restaurants find it a hassle and understanding that but, in these day and age dietary requirements need to be taken seriously. Once again guys thank you very much. Highly recommend

Tasty food which is reasonably priced, and a terrific atmosphere. There were 7 of us in total, and we all had different meals and were all very happy with what was served up. Will definitely be back there again!

One of the best indian food I have had in Melbourne so far. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

We recently ordered using Uber Eats, when the food arrived the package had been dropped by the driver and the butter chicken was spilt everywhere.we called the store and they personally delivered a new butter chicken within 15mins with complimentary drinks! It doesn't get better than that for customer service.

The service staff are so welcoming and kind, especially when it comes to children.

Best takeaway. Great value, curries are sooo good and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Has become our go-to since moving to the area and find it hard to consider ordering anything else
