This was my first visit inside of the world famous Lune Fitzroy, where the owner has mastered the elements of minimalism whilst at the same time providing a welcoming front of house for patrons to enjoy. Ranked as the best croissant in the world, there is a line outside of Lune most mornings.

Having been lucky enough to sample their entire menu now, it's definitely worth the wait and price. The pastry treats melt in your mouth, providing a world class culinary experience.

The best crossaints ever ever ever! Come early and get the different variations of crossaint it sells out. Regardless, nothing beats the classic plain crossaint.

I think Lune was a perfect example of when hype generates unrealistic expectations. The queue for the CBD store was unending on a Sunday morning and I’m wondering whether anyone in it had previously tried Lune’s croissants and felt it was worth an hour-long wait. We had the plain and almond, and felt rather underwhelmed even with that internal positive bias you tend to have when trying to justify how long you’d stood in line. It definitely wasn’t bad, but I would suggest ordering online if you really want to give it a try.

The croissants were very nice, they look fantastic and have a great butter taste. We were quite disappointed in the experience though, this because we were expecting a range of products. When we got to the front of the line, only the plain croissant was left. We did get there just before midday (didn’t thank that was too late) I recommend that you head there early. We will be heading back there again (taste was worth it), but earlier next time.

Ok so after hearing so much about this place I manager to finally give it a try. Luckily I stumbled upon it on a morning walk and there was no lineup. Can honestly say with my first bite it was clear this is the single best croissant I have ever tasted. I tried the game and gruyere cheese croissant and wow, perfect taste, texture, crunch, softness and flavour. Only quality ingredients too. The service was friendly and knew their menu really well. Coffee was good to, what you'd expect from Melbourne. Great job guys! I'll definitely be bringing others here too

The best Croissants in Melbourne! I keep coming back to reward myself! Would 100% recommend the classic and the almond croissant. It's worth waiting in line for one.
They have a satellite store in the CBD too.
A must-try for tourists!

Wow. Just wow.
Sensational pastries, with an authentic view into how they make their food

The world's best croissants ¿ quite probably, the limited edition ones always seem to be sold out before 8am!

These croissants are on another level! It’s very enjoyable to see the process of making croissants. Everything about this place is instagramable. Just be prepared for the queue!

Love Lune! My timing fortunate was today - no queue! They make the best almond croissants on this side of the equator! Very much looking forward to an indulgent breaky tomorrow of an assortment of Lune pastries. Now that I have kids & live in the West, I only get here once or twice a year. Well Worth the drive though!

Pricey but WORTH IT croissants ($9 AUD). I got the almond croissant. The texture was perfect! Crispy, moist, but not too dense, and not burnt. Definitely best croissant I've had. If you're with a friend, split, because each one is quite filling.

Wow! What an amazing place.the croissants here are a work of perfection (plan croissants are like a puff of wholsome wheat and butter fragrance) and beauty (so beautiful that I struggled to bring myself to bite into them, not to blemish the work of art). This is something every Melbournian should try, an absolute gem in the middle of Fitzroy.

Cool and different. But croissant not my taste. Have had them better to my liking at other places. A bit over-priced. Full with people taking photos. Don't think I'll be back.

Been multiple times and the traditional and pain au chocolate have been available. I had the traditional and a coffee. Both were absolutely amazing. The service as well was great, they were polite and fast. The vibe of the building is also very modern industrial and is a great spot to sit down and enjoy your food. There isn't a lot of seating though and if it were busier take away may be your only option.

Was lucky to try their Bourbon & Pecan croissant however they’ve since switched out some flavours. Please bring it back, especially with the bourbon cream!

Otherwise, the plain croissant was heavenly and TDF.

A regular pit stop for us at this place whenever in Melbourne as my wife loves the ham and cheese, and the plain ones. I like the hot chocolate too as I'm a non-coffee drinker. The queues in the morning hasn't changed since I first knew this place, so hype or no hype, it's clearly a perpetual crowd favourite.

Croissant is good as always.

But coffee sucks. We ordered one soy latte, one regular latte and one flat white, two ladies were chichatting and took them 20mins to make three coffees. And served in tea cup. When we asked which one was flat white, the lady said flat white is exactly same coffee with latte. Can you believe it

The best almond croissant of my life. Unsure if the places I went to in France were just subpar ooor.but legitimately the most delicious croissant. There is a line though, my friend and I waited 20 minutes at roughly 10am.

The wait is long and the tables are scarce, but this place has the best croissants in Melbourne! The burnt butter and sugar croissant has a special place in my heart.
