Super fun and lively atmosphere in the shop was a great pick me up after work.
Kingsly did an amazing job with my hair after it was butchered by another hairdresser, I'm so happy with it.

Walking through the barber shop, we felt like walking into 80s. We were fascinated by the positive vibe while enjoying our complementary beer by the fire.
Staff were friendly, professional, and very helpful. I was not totally sure on what I wanted with my hair, received professional advise from my barber #Kingsly and could not be happier with the result.

Easily the nicest barber in the northern suburbs. Ask for Kingsley and let him do his thing, I always walk out of that shop feeling great about myself

I’ve never been a “barber guy” before. But, even as one of 3-4 barber shops along this patch of High St, this one called out to me. It looks great, cosy and welcoming. I probably waited longer than I should have when I was the only customer there, but they more than made up for it by doing my hair and beard despite me being unable to book both online, and by supplying a beer as I was being worked on. And I was so happy with how my beard looked afterwards. I’ll be back soon guys, just as soon as I have a reason to!

Patrick at Lords of the North nailed my hair cut. Plus gave a massage and hot towel. They even offer you whiskey or beer while you have your hair cut. I will gladly pay the little bit extra for the lovely chat and nice vibes.

I had the most amazing time here. I haven’t been to a barber shop in years and this place has the most amazing vibe and delightful staff. Handed me a beer on entry and playing great tunes and amazing high level of service. Matt was meticulous and detailed and made sure every part of my cut was perfect and gave me advice of how to maintain my beard between trims.
10/10 will be coming back

Lucky did a really good job of giving my thick curly hair a much needed shape up and smooth fade cut. Was a bit sceptical at first, as I've had bad experiences with people cutting my curls. But it looks and feels great:)

I've been a regular to Lords Of The North for (going on) 5 years now, and wouldn't (maybe even, couldn't) go anywhere else.

The nostalgic, all vintage interior design, cozy lighting, and an everlasting playlist of vinyl tunes, is all reason enough for me; but Cat and the rest of her awesome crew are the real reason I always returned. High-quality classic fades.
If I had a beard, I'd let them trim it too. Cheers.

Chill shop with skilled barbers. I've been a customer for years and haven't yet been disappointed.

The most comfortable I've felt in a barber/hair salon in a long time. Love the vibe here. Everyone is friendly and chill, the decor and layout is warm & eclectic, and I even got to share the space with a cute little dog that looked like it was a cat in a past life.
LGBT+ friendly. Reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

You plunge through the heavy velvet curtains from bustling High St to be confronted by mid-century wood panelling, loud but not obtrusive soul music, and friendly smiling faces. Whether it’s for a super close ‘cutthroat’ shave, a full haircut, or something in between… What a fantastic way to get groomed!

This place is amazing! The barbers are awesomely talented and the vibe is fantastic. These guys and girls will make you feel so comfortable and give you the haircut you've always wanted but have been too afraid to ask for!

For a hip and cool place that also cut hair and beards like no other in Melbourne.
The always have cool records playing in the background with a calm and peaceful vibe.
