Had a great night here. The vibe is good and the staff are friendly and accommodating. Mim, the functions manager, is a delight and made booking a large group during the COVID restrictions so easy. Will definitely be going back.

Excellent atmosphere, amazing friendly staff and a spirits list to die for, Loop offers a fantastic rooftop setting that has a comfortable vibe and a certain vertical-garden motif that sets the tone for a good hangout, either for groups or couples. Very chill!

Unfortunately we had an awful experience last night with one of the rudest staff member. Also food and drinks were very average and not worth the money.

HORRIBLE PLACE! My family went there for lunch and were so excited as it was post-lockdown in covid and had THE WORST SERVICE i've seen in Melbourne. They have about 5 or 6 things on the menu and they can't even handle that. Waited 1.5 hours for 2 over-priced entrees, ordered 4 mains, only 2 came out so 4 of us shared 2 meals. Had the 1st seating at lunch and the 2 mains we ordered had "run out" and waiter said "we missed the boat". Normally I don't leave such harsh reviews but this was the most UNPROFESSIONAL place i've ever been to. Only upside is drinks are strong (over-priced). Warning: they also have 15% surcharge on weekends and is not mentioned till the bill is handed to you.

Very well priced drinks and food, service speed was incredible! Calamari and cauliflower is delicious, and service quality is phenomenal! Special shout out to Ben helped out tonight!

Conner is the best waiter. He delivers amazing cocktails with a smile (under his mask). Love him. He also has lovely pins. Give him a raise.

Four of us came to Loop Roof & Loop Top, just as COVID-19 restrictions have been easing. The staff were really friendly and attended to all our needs. Because of the patron restrictions, we had heaps of space on the rooftop and it was a really wonderful place to dine. It was a really cute set-up, and despite only having a few tables out, it was really quite nice. It was suitable for all weather, so when it started drizzling a bit, they had a sliding rooftop which rolled on over to keep us dry. Among the four of us, we ordered the fish and chips, vegetarian lasagne, and chicken parmigiana’s, as well as several different cocktails. The portions were very generous and the food and drinks were delicious. Thank you to Loop Roof & Loop Top. We had a great experience and I’m sure we will back!

The hike up the stairs is worth it. Staff are so friendly and funny and happy to chat when they're not getting slammed. Great atmosphere.

Awesome venue! A great mix of open roof and undercover spaces. Great mix of drinks and food available. Had my 30th here and the team were nice, fun and very professional. Definitely recommend Loop Roof if you're after a Melbourne rooftop experience.

Solid place, solid drinks, groovy just facing the wrong way, faces north for an obstructed view.

Nice place, but I'd say suits more for colder weather. Was there on a 30 degree day, almost has a heat stroke.they don't even have fans to create a little air movement. Apart from that all good

Love this rooftop vibe, it’s always busy (in a good way) and the drinks were absolutely delish! I’ve been here a few times and would still come back again and again. Margarita cocktail was amazing!

It was smaller than I thought and many stairs to climb. But the bartender was welcoming and the drink is nice. Good for spending some time. Don’t like people smoke though.

Such a great bar. Friendly staff and great nibbles and cocktails. 'Fizzy Make Feel Good's' are a great way to get your Black Books groove on. Also, if you want the best drink, ask for B. She makes amazing drinks, remembers what you want and how you like it - and I even gave her a challenge by asking for her to make me a drink that was "tall, have lots of alcohol, and extra points if it was red" and she delivered! Amazing drink and creativity that made me wish that wasn't the last drink I ordered. Bit of a bummer that they don't have Southern Comfort, but that's my personal issue. A great vibe that wasn't too loud, and although it got busy when it got dark - it wasn't super crowded that you had to wait ages for a drink. Also, there was a bit of a cute view - although I was too engrossed in gossip to really care. All in all, good place, and amazing staff.

We held our end of year break-up at Loop Roof Level 4 yesterday, and it was a fantastic experience, right from the communication regarding the booking through to accomodating our group until we left.
Very professional and courteous, food was delicious and the range of drinks catered to everyone. Level 4 is a really nice space, fab view of the city and comfortable seating, though do be aware that it's a walk upstairs to get to Level 4, but well worth the effort. Overall I'm so pleased to recommend the space and its lovely hosts.

Loop roof has long been one of Melbourne's best rooftop bars. They've now added another level which almost doubles the capacity. Product wise, they've got a good balance of quality craft beer, wine & cocktails. When the sun is shining, where better to enjoy it with a drink in your hand?
