Loop Roof & Loop Top

Too hot on a summer's day. No moving air. Did have misters, but they were either too strong or not on.

We had an awesome time at the Loop Roof on Level 3! The food was superb (5* chef!)! Delicious and fresh! Great, relaxed atmosphere and super friendly service. We will definitely visit again!

Visit this place from the UK and was not disappointed! Food was amazing and there cocktails were just as good services from satff was friendly and helpful and offered great recommendations on Food and drinks to have lovely rooftop views of the city Highly recommended place to visit To eat and drink.

Would have made 5 stars if the drinks were a little more affordable. Good atmosphere and plenty of space.

Wife threatened me with nastiness about halfway up the stairs to get there, so i was hoping the venue would redeem me, which it definitely did
Ordered a lime cocktail, which the bartender has never made before, so they got help from another bartender, and he was great with them, and despite the busy bar, made sure they were comfortable to make the cocktail. Wide said it was fresh and lovely!
All cocktails looked kinda sweet, so I asked if they could make me a whiskey sour, which they did without question, and it was fantastic.
Prices were excellent, and the vibe and view make this a return venue, Cheers

Nice rooftop with plenty of plants. It felt like a rooftop jungle. However, options for chic non-alcoholic (NA) drinks were basically zero. For e.g. Monday Distillery, Seedlip, NON, Lyres, Altina Wines, Heaps Normal.the list goes on. It's 2023, and the NA demand has been growing rapidly since peak Covid in 2020, so I was quite disappointed with this.

Loop is a very cool setting for an afternoon or evening drink. The rooftop provides excellent views of the CBD and the lush vegetation is a welcome change from the concrete jungle below. However, the crowd can be a bit wanky once after work drinks kick off.

Full marks for great customer service, amazing drinks, mouth watering food and a really speedy service. ️ They accommodated for my extra guests on short notice and reserved a cute spot for our group on level 3. Cornelius the host is such a vibe. He is just amazing and adds to this amazing venue, he is wonderful. I don't know the French bartenders name but she is amazing too

Great multi story venue. The rooftop is one of my go to spots. Food is always great and the drinks list, especially the craft beer selection, is great.

Nice rooftop bar that warm even on a cool winter evening. No lift up. Both small and large tables. All their cocktails were quite sweet but they made a nice red caiporoska that had good taste and texture.

One of my favourite bars in Melbourne. Terrific view, the greenery is very well maintained, staff are friendly and the food & drink are excellent. Also, and this doesn't get mentioned enough, really good playlist when I was last in, every track a banger. I may need to meet/fall in love with whoever compiled it coz I'm feeling a connection.

Perfect rooftop for pre-dinner drinks and snacks or even for a great night out with a group of amigos. This place is unique and has a great vibe! Friendly staff, cool tunes and it has heating for the cold nights in Melbourne. Love the greenery, it paints a Poison Ivy feel:) Try it and it will surely become your regular go to.

Would not recommend! Booked for a large party online of 10 for my birthday and they ended up closing the place when we got there because the place was empty. We were ready to spend our money and get drinks but instead, they lost potential customers! But that is okay, we end up having an awesome night at the Carlton.

The staff was lovely and helpful. Food was good, slightly above average price for the city. If you make a reservation and come as a group, you won't be able to split the bill or order and pay at the counter. Had a great night, though!

Although having a lovely atmosphere, the experience of not being allowed to order at the bar with a larger group didn't work. What made this worse was the fact they don't split the bill, therefore at the end of the night it becomes a hassle to see who ordered what, which could have been fixed by just allowing us to order at the bar. There bar menu was also lacklustre, attributing it to them being able to make 'anything' which protruded this sense of pretentiousness that was unnecessary. Having a menu in which demonstrates a good array of cocktails and and Spritz with the ability of being able to make anything wouldve made for an easier night. Finally the waiters refused to write anything down which again does not work, You are bound to forget something in a big grou. Overall eventhough the cocktails were lovely and the atmosphere was good these problems made the enjoyable night slightly more annoying and couldve been avoided.

We had the BEST night celebrating my 40th birthday (private function) on level 3. The venue, staff, food and views where absolutely amazing! Our guest had an absolute ball as did we.

The worst experience, Not long ago we had a company get together and we were told that we can adjourned from the 3rd floor to the 4th floor after 2 hours of stay which was good. But when time came they expected us to leave abruptly even though they were nowhere near at full capacity. Unfriendly and not accommodative and given the covid situation you think twice before asking some 13 guests to leave the business premises. Very disappointing. In addition to that - I was not informed that once you book in a table, guests are not allowed to go to the bar and order their individual drink it has to be put all in one tab - which makes it even worse as a social meet. Won't be coming here again. There are other better roof top bars in the city to choose from.

Excellent friendly service and very nice simple food out on a roof top garden looking down on the city best bit was when they started to spray a super fine mist of water all over the place it felt so good being such a hot day loved it.
