Southland appears to have ‘lost’ my expensive pant suit during Covid. It was a brand new item from Sheik. I have repeatedly called for YEARS trying to track it down and see if they have found it. I always get an excuse that the person is t there or they’ll get back to me and never get a response. Very frustrating and still no answers.

Quoted $70 to repair two kids shirt pockets! I provided the new pockets (already sewn and ready to go) and had unpicked the original ones. Is this a legitimate business? All they had to do was sew three sides! Decided to hand sew myself. What a joke.

Ok, it maybe a little expensive but the quality of the work was excellent. I had a hole in a Merino Jumper and the repair was first class.

I asked for slits on the sides of an expensive dress to be half sewn and this place cut my beautiful dress at the point where I had asked them to be sewn up. When I took my dress back to ask about how this happened, I was met with hostility and such rudeness and absolutely no responsibility for their mistake. I have used them for many alterations in the past, some good and some work kit very good, so said I can’t bring anything to them in the future, and the blonde lady said ‘good’. Good? What sort of person is she? I highly suggest others do not use them as they have no customer service and as you can hear, their service is terrible.

Wish I had read the reviews before taking items here for alterations.

Had 2 items hemmed, and a dress taken in.

Cost $250. Overpriced.

I paid $26 for 2 shirts and a men's pants to be dry cleaned. The lady at the counter told me 3 times to pick it up the next day between 1-5pm which I did and got home to find that one of the shirts had wrinkles everywhere. So had to iron the shirt again at home. Waste of money really and to top it off really terrible service. She needs to smile alittle I think.

Ordered some tailor work through a 3rd party (Connors) connors too busy to pick up so went to get the order myself. The lady at the counter was completely rude and didn’t even want to check if the order was ready. Won’t be getting anything altered at Southland in future

Tried to visit twice during regular opening hours incl Saturday, but they were shut. Not a good look.

Very unfriendly staff. Did not want to fix a minor tear on a blouse and pretty much dismissed me instantly. I would not recommend this place at all.

Yes they are pricey but their work has been good previously. My wife took a few items to get tailored ($200!) and the result was good. However, we found a tear on the back of her jeans which definitely wasn’t there prior to the alteration. We went back to the store and was told “sorry not their problem” and that there was nothing they can do. We told them that the tear was not there prior to giving them the jeans but they flatly refused to be of any assistance. Very disappointing that they didn’t wish to resolve the issue, given we just spent $200 with them. Eventually we demanded they repair it. Very poor customer service.

I needed four suit pants altered all of which needed to be taken out to different lengths. I tried the pants on and asked the lady if she wanted to measure or pin the pants but she just said, “yes yes yes yes it’s fine”. I warned her they needed different adjustments but she wouldn’t listen.

The next day I came in and two of the pants were fine but the other two were completely wrong. Waist was let out too much and was left baggy. To their credit the lady working that day was really understanding and quickly measured them and redid them. They were fine when I picked them up the next day.

I wouldn’t recommend this shop as they’re quite expensive and it’s a bit hit and miss with the staff.

Personally I wouldn’t advise going here.
I believe they are very over priced
And in my honest opinion, I don’t think I’ve met more unpleasant people in my customer service experience.
When I left my jeans off the girl behind the counter wouldn’t even try to smile she just wanted me to say my bit and go but I didn’t judge on this. When I came back there was a completely different lady who was even worse than the first! If that’s possible!
I will not be back and I highly suggest you try somewhere else!

Fatastic service by Sara. Stayed back late Friday to finish off the hem I just dropped off at 8 30pm. Very pleased with the service.

We had my daughters graduation dress altered at this store and they did a great job and were so very helpful. Would highly recommend. Thanks!

Alterations on my swimming trunks were done very quickly and at a reasonable price. Will definitely go back in the future.

Worst service ever, unprofessional staff, didn’t give me a receipt, when I went back said they weren’t there, then said oops sorry we have been busy can you come back in two hours! Don’t ever use them here in Southland! #ripoff #unprofesional

I had a leather skirt it's big on me and I need for the party hadi did a perfect job, he give me 3 hours time he finish by 2 hours on the same day Iam very happy with the express service thanks hadi.

Dry cleaning is satisfactory but whomever the lady was on the front counter on the morning of Thursday October 26th needs a SERIOUS attitude adjustment. I'd move on such rude staff in all honesty, just wow.
