Great experience. If you want to learn English in Melbourne. Lonsdale is your place! They have a wide study programs depending on your requirements; general English, IELTS, business, project management.

Very disappointing. Since the beginning of my course in January, I knew I was in for a headache. Lonsdale in Melbourne is unorganised. They gave me the wrong schedule of my classes twice. A few times they sent out emails to me incorrectly (saying assignments or other documents were missing when they were not) worst part was the lack of professionalism from the finance team. Aside from having poor grammar, they sent out an email stating "future payments will be reduced accordingly" on April 1st. I asked the finance team what that meant. I just wanted clarification after asking 3 times. But instead I received a letter of intent to cancel. They've completely ignored my question. They obviously dont want to help students during covid and I understand how that effects their profits but I was hoping for an email explaining what "future payments will be reduced accordingly" means. My instructor is great so I'm riding it out till the end but the administration staff could seriously use some help. Won't be doing another course here for sure and dont recommend this place at all. Avoid the headaches, so many other places to choose!

Tras un año estudiando en Lonsdale Institute en Sydney, primero el General English Course y después el IV Certificate Business, puedo decir que: es una escuela con un profesorado que no sabe ni cómo dar una clase, con métodos de enseñanza obsoletos consistentes en, al menos en el English General Course, leer un libro de ejercicios, rellenar huecos y, a pesar de ser clases de 8-10 alumnos, la enseñanza no es para nada personalizada, no se realizan explicaciones previas ni corrección de los fallos y decir tampoco se lleva un seguimiento de aprendizaje del alumno, simplemente se realiza un test de nivel cada x tiempo. Por lo que podría hacer lo mismo por mí misma en casa. Por otro lado, en el VET de Business, en un periodo de 5 meses hemos tenido 3 profesoras distintas, cuyo trabajo consistía en leer una presentación de Power Point durante 1-2 horas, la cual ya estaba subida al campus virtual y debía ser la misma desde hace años, leer los ejercicios que se deben realizar y hasta ahí llega su labor. También indicar que los alumnos debemos subir los trabajos cada dos semanas, y mis últimos 5 trabajos no han sido examinados ni calificados, al igual que le ha sucedido a mis compañeros. No saben llevar la escuela. A nosotros como alumnos nos exigen determinadas cosas que cumplimos y, en caso contrario, debemos pagar un extra. Quieren que paguemos un extra si no hacemos los assesments pero, sin embargo, si los subimos a tiempo, ni siquiera los corrigen.
Nefasto profesorado. Nefasta administración. Nefasta escuela. He invertido una suma de dinero enorme en ella, con unas expectativas bastante altas que para nada se han cumplido.
NO ESCOJÁIS LONSDALE INSTITUTE EN SYDNEY.

Terrible school. I would never recommend it.
After a year studying at the Lonsdale Institute in Sydney, first the General English Course and then the IV Business Certificate, I can say that: it is a school with teachers who do not even know how to teach, with obsolete teaching methods consisting of, at least in the General English Course, read an exercise book, fill in the gaps and, despite being classes of 8-10 students, the teaching is not personalized at all, there are no previous explanations or correction of mistakes and I also need to say that there is also no monitoring of the student's learning, simply a level test is carried out every x time. So I could do exactly the same by my own at home. On the other hand, in the VET business, in a period of 5 months we have had 3 different teachers, whose job is to read a Power Point presentation for 1-2 hours, which was already in the moodle, read the exercises that must be done and that is all about theis job. We are also supposed to submit the assignments every two weeks, and my last 5 assignments have not been examined or graded yet, as has happened to my colleagues. They do not know how to run school. We as students are required to do the things we do and if not, we must pay an extra. They want us to pay extra if we do not do the assessments but, nevertheless, if we upload them on time, teachers do not even grade or check them.
Terrible teaching staff. Terrible administration. Terrible school. I invested a huge sum of money in it, with quite high expectations that have not been met at all.
DO NOT CHOOSE LONSDALE INSTITUTE IN SYDNEY.

Great school. I had a very nice experience at Lonsdale. Teachers and team really professional and helpful. I’ve improved my English so much and this is only because their really supported me during all the process.

I am very happy with the service, even with the pandemic I never went without answers, not to mention the classes that are very good.best school!

Money hungry like the bushfire.

Unapologetic attitude like Scott Morrison.

If you just want a visa for extending your stay in Australia this is not the place for you. If you truly want to study this is definitely not the place for you either.

Rude staff, not organised management team. People never try to help students. The only time they will actively contact you is either asking for tuition fee or assignment late subbmition fees.
If you are international student and ever consider find a school, I suggest you reconsider. There is lots of assignments in here too.endlessly. You will know how annoying it is if you ever get in.

I did some different courses in this institute. The teachers are great. Especially the English classes. I really do not recommend more courses other than English. But anyway, the organization and the administrative area from the reception is terrible. They don't support foreign students at all. Each paperwork needed will take 2 weeks to give an answer. Because I am a foreign student and I was changing my visa. I had to collect all the transcripts of the studies I did in Australia. And this institute was the only one I had problems with. While other institutions I had asked for the same information, they helped me in less than half an hour when it took 2 weeks for Lonsdale. But if you are not lucky, you will be denied some of the things you need. In that case, you will have to appeal, which means you will have to wait an additional 2 weeks. It means urgent paper work wilk take for them almost 1 month for an answer. They do not help the fact that you are a foreign student who needs different documents as soon as possible because visa facts does not wait.

I would 100% recommend going elsewhere. The teachers are lovely and helpful, but the organisation is horrific. It's really hard to find any serious help and it's just a mess. Our Saturday classes were constantly getting cancelled, sometimes you weren't even told and turn up anyway. A waste of time. Considering how much you're paying and have that many classes cancelled so everything is rushed is pretty awful. I have also been waiting 5 months for my course to be marked and my diploma given. I have actually left the country, paid alot of money for this course and so far have nothing to show for it. I would never study here again or suggest it to anyone

Excellent school with a good structure and trained teachers.the classes are dynamic with the participation of the students.the schedules of classes are very flexible for who needs to work.

I keen on this school. Teachers are brilliant. I love them and wanna hug them everyday because they are cute and funny.and creative and amazing. And also I made a lot of good friends. Please hire me as a professional student so can stay here forever hahahaha.

I just visited today Londsdale Institute and I am really grateful for the treatment we have received from Manu. It is a highly recommended school for students from anywhere in the world.

This school is AWFUL. Only after your money.
They tried to fail me because I uploaded my assignments each week as word documents and not PDFs, WITHOUT advising me until the course was finished.
Then tried to tell me if I didn't pay MORE money I would be reported to immigration and deported.
I attended class each week, paid my fees on time and handed in every assessment.

All international students: please be aware! They will exploit the fact that you are alone in a foreign country to get more money from you.

The education system really helps students who want to learn English and improve their English.

I'm a student of this school. I love my school because teachers are nice. I'm really happy to meet them.

I have been this language class about two month. I am happily in my class everyday. I love my teacher and classmates. Justin is a humorous teacher. He always take us laugh. Lisa is a considerate teacher, she always give us some advices about improve English. We come from different countries in my class and different ages.

I studied at Lonsdale for 4 months. I had a great time there. There were wonderful teachers and students ;) they were very helpful. You should study there!
