Make this trip your starting point for exploring the lakes area, it’ll point you to all the lesser known villages and places to explore. Learn how to identify the various bird species and if your lucky you’ll see some dolphins. Plenty of seals along the way.

Although the weather was overcast and a bit chilly, it was a lovely few hours of cruising around the Gippsland Lakes. We didn't see the dolphins up close but the seals put on a show. The scones were delicious and a hot drink was very welcome.

Excellent afternoon on the lakes. The Captain is super informative, the ship is clean and stable, and Mel's scones are finger licking good! Didn't see any dolphins but plenty of other wildlife!

It was a fantastic afternoon. These guys really show a great attitude and so helpful. The scones were the best I have ever eaten in my 65 years. Too bad there were no 2nds: 0 (but drinks and cookies were available through the cruise.
I have been to 43 countries so know value for money and Lonsdale Eco cruises is a winner. 10/10

Group of fishcare volunteers 20+ people on board occupying the whole upstair of the cruis.they have been arranged to enter earlier so they can have the upstairs.totally unfair

We had a group booking for 40 people for a twilight cruise yesterday (Saturday). Finger food was provided, along with tea, coffee and soft drinks, BYOG. Thanks to captain Tony for his excellent commentary as we made a leisurely trip to Metung and back. I've done this cruise 4 or 5 times now and I always learn something new about the history of the Lakes.
A big thanks also to Melinda and Luke for the catering.
Lonsdale normally does a 3hr cruise starting 1pm, except Wednesdays. Includes afternoon tea. I highly recommend Mel's scones.

Fantastic experience! Lovely and helpful people, knowledgeable captain, great boat and great route! Also, the most reasonably priced cruises I have ever seen. The one hour morning cruise was also perfect for the kids!
