Little Ramen Bar reviews
63It is worth the wait in line. A tiny place where good ramen lives. A wide selection and style of ramen is on offer - not a specific Japanese style.
Like a whole in a wall with great authentic ramen. Ramen is served fast and hot. Staff are pretty and friendly. They made a good effort in accommodating for big groups. Must try!
Gyoza is delicious and juicy. Service was excellent.
However, the ramen wasn't up to expectation, especially after reading all the reviews. Miso soup base turned out too salty and the texture of the noodles weren't that great. Fried rice could be better too.
Open at 5: 30pm on the dot. Had to wait outside in line for it to open. Worth the wait though. Super fast with their ramen. So fast in fact the meat and egg was still cold when I bite into it (obviously premade and just assembled). Still pretty good food and will come back again if given opportunity.
The ramen is delicious. If you're extra hungry, I definitely suggest getting the Godzilla sized ramen. Whatever you don't finish you can take away.
Super affordable and of very high quality! Transported me back to Japan for a bit. Gyoza is also great at this place. There might be a little wait, but it's worth it.
So delicious! I lived in Japan and I always come back to this same ramen restaurant. Gyoza are so good. Taste homemade although a slight different taste from most Japanese ones. I love the special miso ramen.
Decent quality ramen and good value with a large selection of favours. Place can be a crowded at times and expect to wait to be seated at busier times. Generous helping of egg and pork which were the highlight of the ramen.
There are many places that offer ramen in Australia, however most of them are far apart from those of Japan. This place is legitimate and I enjoyed the Chashu tamago ramen, miso-based which had good flavor. Recommend to Japanese who miss their home country like me.
Not horrible ramen, but have had a lot better. The lettuce / onion in the ramen made for a different flavour / texture that I'm used to. Probably better trying the venues around Russell Street
I ordered the shoyu ramen with gyoza on the size.
The noodles looked and felt way too much like something that came out of a packet.
The broth tasted like watered down soy sauce with no other flavours.
The gyoza skin was undercooked and needed a heavy dose of the dipping sauce to help it's cause.
I was surprised seeing there's such a high rating here. I hope I just came on an off night!
Most delicious ramen I've ever had! I knew I was in for a treat but it surpassed my expectations. Best ramen and gyōza I've had outside of Japan. Sapporo on tap is lovely too. Would highly recommend but perhaps not if you're a big bloke like me. The little in their name doesn't refer to their portions but their space and seating!
Soup is very tasteless. Texture wise, it reminded more of the Vietnamese pho rather than the real tonkotsu soup (which you can easily find at shujinko, hundreds meters away). Biggest disappointment is the pork on the ramen, which is so thin it seems ham. Highlights are the noodles, really fresh, and the personnel which is very kind
The spicy miso ramen is okay ish. Wouldn’t say it’s the best ramen shop though. If the food only worth 3 stars I would add one more for their service.
First time here tried the hot misso with a Sapporo abdoulutely delicious. Very quick service and staff friendly. Japanese music in the background set the atmosphere
Tasty Ramen at affordable price. I would recommend get Miso-based Ramen and also if you're feeling adventurous, get the Spicy Miso Ramen since its distinctively different flavour from normal ones. Ramen were timed to arrive under five minutes (impressive). Come early if you don't like waiting for long line.
For some reason this place is always busy. I had to grab the menu myself and go back to the counter to order myself. The food didn't all arrive at the same time either. The quality of the food itself is ok but nothing special about this place considering all the options that you get in Melbourne CBD.
The service is alright, the noodles is not bad but The prices isn’t worth it, I think they should have a look at the price again: (
Had ramen here by myself, I know sad but the food here is something that you should enjoy with full attention. The place is extremely tiny and you might have to wait for a seat. The prices here are your normal prices. It has pretty good soup tasty and the noodle taste great. I have been to almost all of the ramen shops in Melbourne and I reckon that this place is worth going to. Portion isn’t too stingy too! Good for a student!
They have Tan Tan ramen! Only place in Melbourne I've found it! And a Godzilla sizing option for any of the Ramens for only $4.50 extra! And 2 Sapporo beers for $10!
Taste was great! And it's definitely got the most variety in terms of Ramen types I've seen at any Melbourne ramen place. I've got lots to try here so I'll definitely be back!
Didn't make the very top my list of Melbourne ramen places for flavour (that goes to Mr Ramen San for their Charsu Ramen with Spicy Tonkotsu) but definitely second or third.
